Now that Lennon is out the scrutiny falls to Cialis. (Scrutiny never falls upon Nick 'St Francis' Vlastuin.)

I'm a defender. Cialis fails at times but he gives. If he turns it up or can't lay a tackle he goes again.

One of his better games.

Come on mate. Enough of the talking in riddles.
Not sure what you are watching. His confidence is shot as a backman. He is a junior star midfielder. Start to work on that, midfield forward. He needs mind development. The kid is petrified of making a mistake. Send him back to the midfield on the 2's for a month, them into the 1's in the midfield

Agree has to be dropped.

Doesn't excuse the lack of ticker on display tonight. No energy in anything he did.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

No, he doesn't get dropped. That's half the problem we keep dropping kids after a bad game.

Looks like he is running in wet cement at the moment.

Moving like its round 20 not round 4.
That is a very apt assessment. He was loping like he was wearing concrete boots right in front of me tonight. Also shirked a couple of contests very badly and had the birds eye view of those as well. Copped a big spray from Trent and dropped his head and had a sook. Really disappointing.

Bereft of confidence will make it appear that way. The only way turn it around is to change his role and go back to what he knows

Yeah he had a look. Put it on him during the week. This kid needs to get emotionally invested, his confidence is shot

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

It's been said for many years that we are a bunch of introverts.

We've drafted another one here.

there is that old fashioned footy term used to describe guys like Corey but it is a PC now.

To describe him as a pea heart is disrespectful to peas

They have to fire him up, prick him quick and find out if there is anything in there. Pendlebury is an introvert too

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Started from the first minute of the game with a *smile* poor tackle

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Hang on a second, punters. You don't want to pull the pin on the mini rebuild do you?

How about that Hunt?

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Just because he's a first round pick doesn't mean he's gonna make it. For such a supposed silky skilled player I've seen a lot of shanks. On top of that he's scared of any contact and actively avoids it. That may change in time but it may not. I hope so. But facts are right now he's so far out of his depth.

If it's not hurting his development I guess he stays. Season is over.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Jogs. Didn't break into a sprint all night. Shouldn't be playing down back

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Remember we only picked him because Duggan was gone the pick before.

Duggan must be laughing.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Not ready, but will get there.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Corey does what he can.

Unlike Nick 'The Leader' Vlastuin. (His is a quiet thread.) Does Nick look macho?

After we get rid of Francis I'll still admire Corey for his being seven stone and thinking he can play.
