Corey "the slow boat to GC17" Ellis

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

I thought he was good, he played with a lot more commitment after looking a bit timid the week before.

Also pulled out of a few contests again. A bit better I said.
Houli does that every week, doesn't stop him getting a game.

Ellis is just a kid finding his feet. A few years in the gym and i have no doubt he hold his ground more.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Looks very smooth. Good hands and feet. Does not seem to fumble. When his body matures will be far more comfortable at the contest. Like him.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Needs to be spending more time in the midfield or at least bursts on a wing.

Learning the half back role is ok, but we need someone in the midfield who can kick the ball properly.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Currently due to injuries we are asking Corey to play in a man's position with a youth's body. Despite that he isn't doing such a bad liob if Saturday night was anything to go by.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

has played terrible all season.
has to play in seniors because our depth is poor.
would not get a senior gig at another club.

very poor and not ready, another one.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Bunnerz give it a break .The kid has skills ,he is young let him play and develop along with several other kids playing /Drummond soon to be added to the list !!

Serious? Apart from last week he's performed pretty solidly IMO

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Corey is ranked 521 in the AFL. I am backing him to get into the 300s by seasons end.

Different thread but wonder what Hampsons rating is? Low thousands maybe?? So there are 18 clubs and our number 1 draft pick from a couple of years ago is ranked 521. Hmm that means not even best 22 in any club by average.

Agree. Desperate times, people are swinging and taking out everyone

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Sorry from what I've seem so far he's slow and overrated like most of our list really.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Oh dear. Just logged on after a few days away and I see we are now attacking a young player.

This kid can really play and when he is ready physically will be a very fine Richmond player. He is slowly getting better every week which is what you would expect.

Yeah sin its pretty crap.

Re: Welcome to the RFC - Corey Ellis

Was really disappointed in some of his early games. Last week was a big step in the right direction.

First time I've seen him hit a few contests without fear.

Some people don't want to see and prefer to bag. In my earlier post I said he is playing out of position and playing in a man's position with a youth's body. Give him experience in a favoured position and he will thrive. We have to give him every chance

Is that the same opinion that had Richmond finishing higher than Geelong this year Sintiger? Clueless like the rest of the clowns down at Punt Road.
