We have a formidable natural defence. Will we take full advantage, is the question.
If it's as bad as it appears in some countries which are being completely immobilised by this disease, the Government should basically stop international airfares overnight. That may hurt the economy but it might also protect it's citizens.
Just caught up with my brother and he works in PNG. They just went bang no Chinese passport in at all. But there's a country that wouldn't have a chance of managing a major outbreak.

In China it's close to 1 in 5. But they keep shifting the goalposts with regard to the definition of "infected".

China has just added almost a thousand deaths, taking the global toll to 3,458 (4.34%).

Flights are still arriving in South Korea from Beijing, not surprising that they have 763 cases, of which 161 are new. Australia should start restricting flights originating from S Korea into Australia.

there's not a single sick person in my neighbourhood.
I think it should be up to the individual to decide who is allowed into the country and who isnt. If a business owner has taken the necessary precautions that he can bring in cheap infected workers do work his land, then good luck to him. The government shouldn't get involved.
