The Land of the Free have now had 27 successive days of 100,000 covid cases a day, which coincides with all the rallies Trump held in the lead up to the election...............nutcases.

Yeh, good article. Appears he was hamstrung by the DHHS. And good to see its not just Kennett getting the blame for the dysfunctional health system
21 odd years since Kennett and 17 years of those Victoria's had an ALP Government. More than enough time to fix Kennett's alleged mismanagement.

I love going to the tennis each year as much as anyone but if it has to be canceled this year due to a global pandemic then so be it. Melburnians didn’t make 3 months of sacrifice so that some international athlete can make a million dollars & his entourage can spread covid.

Exactly players like Djokovic and Zverev have shown complete disrespect to the medical advice on the virus, (contracting it by partying out of control at events this year), we should give no consideration to their demands, quarantine or stay away. Personally I want it cancelled bringing people in from hotspots all around the world is a crazy risk.

I imagine it'll come when this breach results in 800+ deaths, tens of thousands of cases and the NSW govt buck passing responsibility.....

Fair go. The editors from the Terrorgraph haven't got back from lunch yet and don't know which minority group to demonise.

Yeh, funny comparing other states to Vic. You forgot to mention a 3 month lockdown. Which must be imminent in NSW. I mean Vic proved it’s impossible to manage without masks, shutdowns and a ring of steel. Good luck NSW I say.

So you agree the issue in Vic wasn't breaches in hotel quarantine, but a lack of other infrastructure and systems for mitigating the spread of the virus? Because that's the exact opposite of what you were crying at the time.

Then again, you've flipped all over the place throughout this pandemic, so I guess that tracks.

Will be interesting what gets announced Sunday. Hopefully a lot more easing.

Would love them to allow more than 25% of office workers to attend the office for smaller office environments. For example I can have all staff attend my house, but we can’t all work together in the same office. I do understand that large scale office environments need the restrictions. So the change needs to be if there are under say 20 staff at the office you can attend work where you can reasonably maintain social distancing.

Also hoping that the public crowds outside get increased to 500. I want to do Parkrun again.

A record 3100 covid deaths overnight in the US. Horrific.

I'm thankful for this country's socialist leanings when it comes to valuing the lives of its citizens and believe it makes us inherently better than "let it flow" nations.

Were small offices also on the 25% cap? me and my staff of one are back. So are three in the other outfit that share our office. Shhhhhhhhh.

But our glorious DPt of health is not going to jepoardise the gains by returning to work prematurely. Friend of mine who played a big role in Hoteal Quarantine said earliest is March for them.

And another friend works for city of Melb told me they were upgrading their technology to improve work from home capability. The next day Mayor Capp is imploring all PRiVATE enterprise to return their workers ASAP to save the city from ruin.
