The only players Geelong will lose are the one's that cannot regularly get a game or they dont want to keep. That is 100% as far as leysy's concerned.

Well if it's 100% as Leysey's concerned...... ;D...what are we arguing about?

Lads, I may have my timelines confused but didn’t the Lions have cap concessions throughout its Premiership run?

IF that is that case doesn’t that mean that 4 of the 8 premierships this decade have been won by the two teams with cap concessions?

I am confused what rules the Lions are proving or disproving, but isn’t that fairly strong circumstantial evidence the cap is an important factor in success?

Great point Col.
It's interesting that in the wake of those premierships that the AFL abolished Brisbane's cap concessions and have vastly reduced Sydneys as well.
It certainly would appear that Brisbane was not the rule but the exception. ;)

No doubt DD, no doubt.

Be some very interesting skeletons out there & leysy'd think clubs are getting more cunning & savvy as time goes on.

Some are also getting incredibly blatant. This truly staggers me as the biggest area of negligence by the AFL.

If they do bring in some form of free agency they will surely have to tighten up the rules regarding money earned from outside activities when the source is connected to the club. Dunno how they would police it though.

I agree. He really hasn't done anything except show a few glimpses so far, so the amount of attention he's getting is crazy. Especially people already calling him a "star".

After watching a replay last night, Cotchin already IS justified as a star.

Literally every single touch made my jaw drop in awe.

Cotchin is already our best player.

He has a greater influence on contests than anyone else in our team - even if he can't get to as many as he will in the future.

I knew a girl once, every single one of her touches made my jaw drop in awe...

NEVER seen a footballer that good. ;D

Fair call benny. Not sure about best player yet but agree about the star factor.
Just listen to opposition fans talk about the chimp, they love him.

We'll know he's made it once the opposition fans start hating him. ;D

Should never have let her get away D.D.

*Sighs*

I know, I could never convince her leather hoods and chain saws had a place in the bedroom.

I should have compromised and forgot about the leather hoods TM. ;)
