Could 2010 be what 2009 was suppose to be?

Isn;t the theory that they have given Gold Coast pick 1, as opposed to priority selections?

Will be amusing watching if a team does qualify for a 1st round priority to see what dancing the AFL does to ensure that GC have pick 1 ;D

Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda - typifies RFC for the past few decades. I have no expectations for 2010, well won't have any again.

With our list, I don't see us having making the 8 for at least 3 years........and that's assuming we get our drafting/recruiting right. As for a flag............... :help

This year we were rated top 4 by people who know alot about footy. I wonder what went wrong. With an injury-free side something like this and asterixed players having big consistent improvements, could we do a Melbourne yo-yo act and hit the finals in 2010?

Polo* Thursty Rance*
Tambling** McGuane Moore
Collins* Deledio** Cotchin*
Moreton Reiwolt* Cousins
Nahas* Richo Postman

Followers Vickery*Jackson*Foley

Int Ranga, No.3 pick*, Tuck, left-fielder

I personally think anything could happen. The keys for me are Deledio and Tambling becoming All-Australian midfielders, Reiwolt busting on the scene and kicking 70 goals, Nahas becoming Milne or Eddie Betts-like, and perhaps Vickery playing 22 games and becoming very important. Cotchin winning a brownlow would be the passionfruit icing! I reckon if we can pick up a big, angry ruckman on the wrong side of 28 for cheap to smash into people and take some heat off Vickery and Ranga, we should do it.

I think all these things are plausible and with Damien Hardwick adding hardness, discipline and a game plan that doesnt need a masters degree in logistics to execute, we could see a rapid rebound.

What do you reckon?

Mate, you are starting awfully early at the annual "pre-season over expectations game". After this year, I am never ever playing that game again- at least until the year after our next premership.

Pretty much the same list finished 9th last year with a poor coach.
and where did the lot finish the yr before that. which result is the aberration. i know which one my moneys on.

useing a simple rating system on our players combined with a 3 yr forecast of the list and its schizenhausen. without doubt we are a bottom 2 list regardless of where we finish in the bottom half of the ladder.

if theres two teams in the entire comp who need assistance on field it is fremantle and richmond.

Pretty hard to make ground with so few 25yo+ players - broken record but it's a legacy of the Frawley era. Probably looking at bottom 6, but all is not lost provided the coach can instill some belief in the older, young players.

Another ridiculous topic by delusional supporters. While i don't believe our list is as bad as some are making it out to be, if we think we will magically become a Top 8 side in a couple of months time then we are kidding ourselves. Still need another 2 clean outs before we start resembling a competetive unit. Definitely on the right track and we have some great youngsters to be excited about but we also have about 13-14 players that MUST be delisted or retired. Until that happens, topics likes these should not be entertained.
