Could this be the day Darksiders and Brightsiders are happy at the same time.

Who cares hahaha he can still replace Pathetifer cant he  ;)

List is more unbalanced at Tiger land now tho with 4 mids against 2 talls.

3 : 3 woulda been better as well as one more tall in the rookie draft.

We dont need any mids as rookies now with Howat there, i'd be using both rookie picks on a key back that is taller than 193 cm and another ruck ( graham not the answer for mine either from what ive seen) and ideally id be using the PSD on the best kid that wasnt taken in the draft ala Whitey last year and Kingsley can go bye bye.

I  dont rate Moore as a key defensive option, actually i dont rate him period, and Gaspar will be gone next year, McGuane far from being a key back also so who we got       .................. lotta pressure on Will who is a fair way physically from being our number 1 full back, and  thats if he comes back 100%

The failure of this club to get a  specialist FB is starting to wear very thin indeed.

As pointed out by others i would much rather take McKenzie who is quality specialist defender at FB and 195 cm and an athletic player as opposed to a speculative kid in the rookie system.

For mine when you have a dead set deficiency and the solution to your problems is available you and is highly rated and classy .... just have to take it.

Even Schofield rated in top 10 in areas of the camp is 194.5 cm, key defensive specilaist also and 17 y/ o now thats a project worth nurturing.

Given that Claw had named Riewoldt as his first choice when we had pick 8 he will be in a state of shock at the moment  :hihi

In Claw's book Miller will still be an absolute dud for taking Riewoldt at pick 13 when we clearly could have got him at pick 8.
"Absolute disgrace Miller!!!"

Maybe Clawsy is waiting for the UV rating from all the neon brightness being splashed around on here to drop to a safe level.

I feel we drafted well with Connors and Riewoldt but still woulda taken McKenzie before Edwards and possibly taken Peterson with 5th pick. If he was still there.

Not unhappy but i reckon we still coulda done a bit better.  8)

You could be right Craigster.

With something like a draft the results will not be known for a few years so everyone's opinion will differ to some extent.

I do reckon that the darksiders who wanted Miller's blood over Polack and the pick 8/pick 13 thing have been proved well and truly wrong. I don't expect many to come forward and admit it though.

Craig (and others),
At the draft night last Tuesday, they showed some video of Peterson,  an Aboriginal boy (I think) from WA who was just over 6' tall.  In a WAFL game late in the year, Peterson's team was playing Mark Seaby's team as Seaby was trying to get back into the Eagles team.  Anyway, late in the game Petersons team's ruckman got injured and apparently having no-one else, they put Peterson into the ruck.  This is literally a guy 6' vs Seaby who is around 6'7''.  Peterson jumped all over him and beat him in the centre bounces 5 times out of 6.  We were told he has a vertical leap of over 90 cms, which is a hell of a lot.
Anyway, he will probably never be a ruckman, but as a late pick he could turn out to be a bit of a freak, with White from the Lions coming to mind.

Does sound exciting there Shers, im still a bit miffed about 26 thats all and not taking McKenzie.

And for the record i have not assasinated Polak coming to RFC ( yes i know you dont believe it, but go back thru the threads and you wont find it)
I am giving him the benefit of the doubt at present, and am hoping he will be the CHB weve desperately wanted.

God knows we need him to become the player he was touted to be.

That is real impressive. Exciting times ahead with Tambling and Peterson!

Without having followed too closely the potential draftees this year, it would see we have done very will, and getting Polak has been a bonus give we still were able to select our priority pick at 13.

Hats off to the recruiting panel  It seems that we have come on in leaps and bounds off field.

1. Record Profits.
2. A good draft
3. What next.

usually a sacked coach
