This is my first thread so be nice to me..
I was thinking yesterday that the last Brownlow medalist to come to our club was Ian Stewart in 1971. I was only 9 back then but I am sure there was controversy as well with Billy Barrot and Stewart being swapped.
Now Stewart won the brownlow at St Kilda in 1965 & 66 and then won his third in 1971 his first year at Richmond.
This was Richmonds last brownlow win.
Now I dont want to be putting any pressure on Ben but I am going to put $20 on him to win the brownlow in his first year with us. A long shot I know but i bet we didnt expect Stewart to win back then either.
An omen bet for sure.
