PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Ok yet again I'm being proven wrooonggg.

Hate to admit it, but as most are aware I was opposed to us taking Ben, but its starting to look like a good move by the club.

Whilst he looked rusty on Thursday night early he started to get his touch back as the game progressed. Obviously still along way from match fitness, but that will come.

What impressed me was the onfield leadership he showed. Noticed him continually chatting to the kids and at half time he rallied the guys and went to many of the young guys individually and had a chat to them. Saw him at one time having a good chat to Rance and giving him a pat on the back.

This to me was a great sign that Ben will be a good pick up for the club and I will be happy to eat my very large slice of humble pie if he can keep it up.

As much as I hate to admit it this is the sort of onfield leadership we have been looking for, for years.
