Cousins PSD or ND

As if. Cousins will repay the Tigers for giving him a lifeline, not prostitute himself.

Wake up and lift people.

I'm more interested in our longer term future than I am about individual circumstance GPB and given we're we are at we need to utilise the last untainted draft as much as possible.

However unlikely it is, if the deal was good enough for Benny(who's now got currency) I wouldn't hesitate. Buy low sell high.

Tough trades like this happen every day in other sports & ours is more professional now than it's ever been.
Call me a tough bastard if you like but we owe Cuz nothing, just business is'all. 8)

would definately trade him. He's playing good football and may have a couple of years left. perfect for a team who's at 11 o'clock. it would be best for him also as it'll give him a chance for a flag. he won't get one with us.

He doesn't want a flag, he just wants to play footy.

Mentoring and training kids to see them progress would be more challenging I think.

But what a great teacher by example for our midfielders

If an it is a big ifhe stays fit I think we will get 2 very good seasons out of him and I think that would be priceless to the entire football club

Can't agree Oldie. There was an article on the Journo's thread which made the point that players listen to well credentialled senior footballers and these guys make the best coaches. Ben is a past Captain, Premiership player and Brownlow medallist - he is the classiest player we have had at the Tigers in a generation, we need to keep him at all costs then get him as an assistant. Our young guns will benefit immensely by having him to metor them. Remember what Wayne Campbell said about his work with our young mids?

That's nice, what do you want?

Common sense as usual Harry.

He's already taught them plenty this year no doubt which is great. How much more will he teach next season?

I'd rather a flag but we're talking about Cuz who has seen a flag already Oldie. If he wanted a flag he wouldn't have bothered playing with a hopeless club like us especially when a finals bound team like St Kilda rejected him.

The desire to play football again was totally was about Ben & his recovery, not Richmond. We wanted him to get us in the finals. That hasn't happened and more than likely won't next year either, Ben or no Ben.

I am pleased for him that he's gotten over his problems, credit too him but we don't owe him anything.

All I am saying is if a sides like St Kilda or the Pies genuinely inquired about his services then he is tradable.

Of course you'd trade Cousins for a 2nd rounder. Won't happen though so may as well tie him up for another year. I wouldn't be offering any more than a year at a time. As for asssistant, does Cousins have these sort of aspirations?

Maybe and if so then fair enough re-sign him but it doesn't hurt to try.
We have few players of genuine currency. I think Ben is one that does.
Add to the talent at the bottom of the list that might one day win a premiership when Ben's long retired.

Fair question.
