My 8 year old son cracks me up. It shows how smart kids really are. Watching the game on Foxtel on the weekend he turns to me and says. 'Dad, I really love watching the kids in our team.' Bearing in mind this is coming from an 8 year old. Last weeks game against the Bullies was a classic from him too. I always let him buy a badge or 2 from the den and I said 'Right mate, you've been a good lad so I'll let you buy 2 this week, who do you want to get.' Without hesitation he gets Riewoldt and Thursfield. Now how good is that I thought, 1 player that hasn't played yet and one who has played 6 games. It lets me know that I'm not gonna have any worries with me lado! In his dream teams he put Shane Edwards in straight after the Bulldogs game and traded him for Griffin.

Just thought it was funny. 'Out of the mouth of babes' they say!

Lovely post thanks Harro. Very cute and a good reminder of what going to the footy used to be before it became such big business and we started analysing and criticising every aspect of the game. Sometimes it does us good to look at things through the simplicity innocence of kids' eyes. Hope your boy's faith is rewarded with the kids starring in Richmond wins in the very near future. :)

Exactly what not only the playing structure has needed but the supporter base as well, A big dose of youth !!!!

People, we are on our way. Embrace the changing of the guard now !!

Just heard something funnier on "On the Couch". Sheehan said he'd take Franklin over Judd. :o

my oldest boy is turning 5: Rosy, Nitro, diggler laff and one or two others may remember his birth from the tigerfury.net 'rivals' days

he wanted to play nintendo last saturday and i said 'how would you like to sit with Dad and watch the tigerland boys play football on the television?'. He gives me this really serious look and replies NO I dont want to do that!

I'm wondering; is it the way I've carried on over the years, or the way the team has carried on over the years, or a combo of both?

You've given me an idea Rosy, I might have to get him to register as Harro8 via my wife's email address but then I may have to change to Harro36! So on 2nd thoughts!
