From the Richmond website:

Craig McRae

The triple Brisbane Lions premiership player joined Richmond as a development coach at the end of 2006 and, having only been out of the game since 2004, has used his wealth of knowledge to benefit Richmond's young list. Having also coached Queensland to victory in Division Two of the 2006 NAB AFL under 18 Championships, the 195-game player will again develop the young Tigers' skills as well

This guys name is hardly ever mentioned, yet our teams skills are the worst in the league.

Thanks Craig.

2.5 years with the list and like everything else, except for off field, we have gone backwards.

Yet another absolute bloody disgrace.

Fair dinkum, those pictured on the left, could do a better job.

5 years and about $5million wasted.

Like all the coaches, McRae's position will also have to be reviewed. At the moment it's not looking good for any of them, especially those who are supposedly skills/development coaches.

My inclination is that once the new Senior Coach is appointed, he should have a direct say as to which assistants; skills; development coaches he wants within the football department budget.

This post clearly shows that you have NFI!

First of all, Choco is, and always has been the main skills coach at Richmond under Wallace but you already knew that right?

Do you really know what Craig does around the club?

Im lucky enough to know one of young players at the club so i've witnessed his work up close and he is categorically....GOLD!

Every time you see him whisper in a kids ear you always see them nodding and agreeing. He tells them straight up how it is and the best way to rectify it. If they dont, he wont die wondering.

The knowledge and experience he shares with them before, during and after matches is inspirational and they will all tell you that.

Go to a Coburg match and watch him in the huddles and you'll know what im talkin bout.

His assessment sheets that he hands out to each young player after every game reads like diamonds....hard and cutting but fair.

They then have to answer the questions he poses on it and get back to him before tuesday i think it was.

Of the coaching staff I would keep 2, David King and Craig Mcrae.

IMO our problems stem from a high risk game plan and Craig Mcrae has nothing to do with that but lets blame him for everything ::) ::) ::)

Looks like everyone has the crosshairs on them atm.
Regardless of how they perform their job (most of us wouldn't know)
Perception, doesn't always tell the real story.
Thanks for sharing that blx. Reckon MCrae needs more assistance, not a public bagging when we don't know what he does exactly.
Read a post on here saying a RFC plyer didn't have a development coach until his 3rd year at the club :o
It just shows how far our players have been behind other clubs in regard to development.

Its where funding is urgently needed, both Recruiting and Development, these areas should be prioritised above all others
