I cant remeber exactly the moment but Kayne played health conscious at a critical moment in the final quarter at the arc. Business as usual. But then he had a change of heart and went apesh!t to fix it. Put his body on the line recklessly. Has never done anything quite like that before. Just continues to improve.

He couold go right on if he just put a little more vim into his chasing and if he went for a bit more contested ground ball. I think he could go A.A. He's flying.

Had a close look at this on the slow mo replay and I noticed that even though Pets looked as though he was pulling out of the 1st contest - his eyes never left the ball and the reason he was able to have a real crack at the 2nd contest was because he knew where the ball was. Unlike his Geelong opponent.

He shirked it, Poppa... I can't believe that you are trying to justify it.

Pettifer was interviewed after the game, he said "kingy wanted me to go for the grabs"  "He saw me in some under 18 games where I took a few flyiers".

Liked that interview. Don't think I've seen petts interviewed before. One thing that struck me is how excited he is to be at the club at the moment. He said soemthing like, "with young guys we've got like Meyer, Tambling, Deledio, Hyde, this club's going places and I love it" or something to that effect. Got me quite excited to see a player speak like that about the club. Great to see. :clap

Lets just hope he continues with this 'consistent form'.

Thats all we ask for as supporters.......consistency.......

agree with the initial post. well said i think.

im looking forward to what lidsandbling has to say about this ;D

Great post

I have said in other posts that some kids take a bit longer than others, and some supporters write off some kids far too quickly, particularly these days.
