It’s time for Ian Chappel to be retired off. So negative. Just said that if we lose a wicket no point batting on as we only have plodders left. Lyon gives the ball a good hit. And there would still be either Cummins or Paine left.

Was just about to say the same MB, best thing channel 9 could do, so negative, boring an repetitive. Also seems stuck in the past

I would think that the list of players whose first Test century was a double would be surprisingly long.
Unfortunately it would be difficult to find out without going through alot of records.
Aside from the already mentioned Simpson, Gillespie and Sobers, I can also think of Brad Hodge - only ever made one ton and it was a double.

he's bad. doesn't commentate just picks faults.
 
That should have been given out. Dar stuffed up by not giving that out. Smith will be labelled as a cheat due to that mistake.
