Totally agree but who he should replace is a bit less than obvious.
Maybe Maxwell too.
Warner ;D obvious choice is Bancroft, however I’d rather play Bancroft at 6 an move a Marsh on , though I think there forms Ok an MM seems to be on the improve

you could ask what Smith was doing half way down the wicket. Rabada was running towards he team mates.

I reckon Warner was very lucky, his behaviour was a lot worse than this IMO, though i do understand Rabada's history.
hope he gets off.

Smith was clearly on his way to speak to Khawaja; as captain he's entitled to leave instructions with the remaining batsman. That said, didn't think there was a whole lot in it and it wasn't worth missing two Tests. Also hope he plays next week.

Looks all over for the Vics to play in yet another final, currently 7/139 chasing Tassies 344.

And Vernon Philander has made a goose of himself by tweeting that Smith made shoulder contact with Rabada!

England bat for a day ... lose 14 wickets in one innings and still couldn't match the score made by a New Zealand second XI.
What ridiculous playing conditions, even for a tour match. No wonder the public are losing faith in the red-ball game.

Hope Rabada is successful in his appeal.

Aust cricket has such poor leadership with Smith (weird over exaggerated and immature), Warner & Lehman - unsophisticated bogans - in charge. I know it’s a tough game in many ways and the physcology of the game so important but their inability to see the bigger picture annoys me. They have a huge influence on young men and to me too often set the wrong example.

I’m hoping rabada gets off and sticks it to them.

This makes no sense.

You want Rabada to play and stick it up them because they’re “wierd, overexaggerated and immature” and “unsophisticated bogans” but Rabada himself is not only immature and unsophisticated but clearly has anger management issues.

But he's not an Aussie, Tim, and in some people's minds that excuses all else.

The Vics dynasty may have come to end and won’t play in the final but good luck to the Bulls!

Agree with all this except the Rabada bit. Physical contact? He should go.
As for Smith, if you exclude him and Warner from the captaincy, who would you have?
Looking at the current team, the only one who even guarantees his spot would be Lyon.

Rabada is smart, just passionate. There is an ugliness to Australia’s behaviour, a belittling of opponents, a disrespect for the game.

How is Rabada smart?

Son of a doctor, private school education. Watch the way he plays, the stuff he has been cited for is minor compared to what the aussies have done. He doesn’t abuse batsman, he doesn’t denigrate he celebrates. He’s passionate.
