Son of a doctor, private school education. Watch the way he plays, the stuff he has been cited for is minor compared to what the aussies have done. He doesn’t abuse batsman, he doesn’t denigrate he celebrates. He’s passionate.
We,ll have to agree to disagree.

Deliberately initiating physical contact is not celebrating.

If he was Australian, he'd be bagged for being a privileged, self important flog with a sense of entitlement.
Its odd the definition of being smart is what profession your dad does and what type of school one attended.

Not what I said. I think he’s an intelligent young man and passionate cricketer.

Yeah great for cricket , now physical contact is allowed with a slap on the wrist. Pathetic decision by the ICC, absolutely rolled over.

Agreed. Reminds me of the decision to allow Barry Hall to play the 2005 GF.

Rabada is smart, just passionate. There is an ugliness to Australia’s behaviour, a belittling of opponents, a disrespect for the game.

Your comment is belittling to all true blue Australian cricket players & followers.

Physical contact? Bowlers and batsman often make physical contact, when they run between wickets or on follow throughs etc.

Do you think there was any malice in Rabada's action? Smith's pathetic gesticulating was over the top, much like staging for frees in the AFL or soccer players over-acting.

It was a nothing incident. Rabada's rap sheet is full of such trivialities. Show me incidents where he berates batsman like Mitchell Starc? Or abuses from the field like Warner?

A good article by Mike Atherton on the subject below.
