For years? Hope you’ve been selective about it. Plenty of cheats and unsporting behaviour displayed by Aussie cricketers over the last couple of decades.

Do u cheat on your tax midsy? I hope you’re not claiming one deduction you shouldn’t.

What an over reaction.

You've got a strange way to look at this MD. Everyone else has been doing it so lets do it too.

For a long while now, Australian Sport and in particular Australian cricket has led all condemnation against cheating, with a holier than thou viewpoint that they'd never lower themselves to those sort of tactics. Well low and behold they have, they cannot hold themselves up on a pedestal like they have for so long and then say things like you have that's its an over reaction / not a big deal. That's hypocrisy in its finest.

Australian sports fans will take a lot of things but one thing I've noticed for a long while since I've been in Australia, is cheating is for the lowest of the low.

Hypocrisy, yes, a big deal, not really.

Look, I expect suspensions and I probably don’t think warner survives at all, but this need not be the watergate Australians want it to be.

As an aside, Pat Cummins for capitano.

Can't see why any of our ball tamperers should get any greater penalty than all the other ball tamperers of recent years. People get all outraged n flustered every time some Australian gets caught cheating. Perhaps it's time that we stopped trying to prance around on the moral high ground at every sporting event n simply accepted the fact that our mob is no different from any of the other mobs, there's cheats n fudgers everywhere. Swimming, Cycling, NRL, AFL, Cricket, Athletics, Horse racing, it's either doping, salary cap, rorting, ball tampering etc etc etc.
Why should our lot get a year or life ban when all the others get a fine or one match ban?

You know why TM?

Make an example.
Take a stance.
This behaviour will not be tolearted.
Cricket ( test cricket ) is dying a slow death.
Crowds are down everywhere.

Hopefully with what CA do, the ICC can state that any future indiscretions should be dealt more harshly than 1 week bans.!

But not holding my breath.

Heard Renshaw on his way???

Because we should be striving to be better than ‘the others’. Deal with cheating in a substantial and meaningful way.

Where do I say that?

Please refrain from *smile*

Crowds are down? Didnt we just have record crowds for the ashes?

That's the thing, the precedents are out of whack with the offence, but it's not in the realm of PEDs. Draw a line in the sand and give the offenders six months.

My 8yr old daughter raised an interesting point of view tonight.

Why do they want the ball swerving around anyway? It will be harder to field, and when they miss it, the batsmen will get more runs anyway.

No-one goes to test cricket outside England and Australia.
I think the third day crowd at Cape Town was 14,000 - in a city of 3.7 million on a Saturday when the home team was doing well. And it was considered to be a good crowd.

Possibly true so it shows that it’s got nothing to do with Australia and this incident.

Queensland easily wins the shield title beating those little pretenders Tassie.

So according to sutherland only 3 were invovled
And the coach knew nothing ,is he for real?
Can they sack sutherland as well what a fuvkwit.

Weak as *smile* from Sutherland, they are still seriously misreading the public sentiment on this. There's a distinct lack of transparency.

So Matt Renshaw gets the call up for Bancroft..
Geez they could have saved some pain for themselves there.
Should never have been replaced in the first place!

Also was thinking how much this stupidity will cost Warner & in particular Smith.
It will be in the million$.

How would you feel to be Pete Handscomb. 3 players sent home and 3 fly to south africa and Handscomb stays 12th man? Might as well walk away from Australian cricket..

More questions than answers.

Only 3?

Coach?

Bowling coach?

Bowlers?

Surherland as I expected lacked true leadership, courage, strength and conviction in this decision

Another 24 hours?

Who indisgated this?

I wonder when and if Warner comes back in he'll pull his bloody head in, his ranting and raving on field should not be tolerated. The same goes with Kholi, he needs to be pulled into line.
It's a good opportunity for the ICC to get on the front foot and stamp out this terrible on field behaviour that has been getting worse each year.
