Sutherland should be given the arse as well

It will be interesting if Warner spills the beans. I felt to sorry for Bancroft too. Massive mistake unfortunately. Stupid decision. Appalling team leadership letting it happen. I've no doubt a lesson has been learned for the future.

Where do I say that? More *smile*.

I didn’t say you did - it’s a rhetorical question. Stop being so defensive.

You disagree? No worries. I’m glad they’ve got what I reckon they deserved (and I have no sympathy for Bancroft either).

Just watched the press conference with Smith.

No matter how angry I was , seeing that as a parent I really felt for him. Gut wrenching .

Who was the person who put his hand on Smith.

Bancroft looked stronger in his.

Now for Warners !

I expect Warner to open with "I’m very disappointed - shocked is probably the best word. I believe we followed processes, we put in place the right sort of processes.

‘‘My understanding is we worked within the framework given to us by the ICC and Cricket Australia.
‘‘I’m shocked to be sitting here.’’

Any comment on geeves article? Or sticking to this is like esserdrugs and Armstrong?

I’ve noticed a change of attitude towards Smith and Bancroft today (radio, comments, articles)

It’s almost like many have realised we are talking about humans here who made a mistake in a game of cricket and the reactions over the last week have been way out of whack for what they’ve done.....

Jb just heard it too.

Ch 7 reporting that after seeing smiths press conference that Lehman has resigned.

Fall outs continue.

The rot started when Pat Howard came on board. He seems to escape scrutiny as well.

Rot started way before that, its been there since Sutherland was appointed. I don't agree with Geeves on the specifics of the punishments handed out but I fully agree about Sutherland and his motivations and his lack of governance. Its implicit in Mickey Arthur's article as well. To this day I am amazed he survived the Argus review.

Fair enough.

Why would Boof wait until now to step down? Did more evidence become available that implicates him?

Baloo I thought of that too.

Maybe the threat of Warner coming out and spilling all?

Who knows?

Why resign now when he could have after the penalties /suspensions were handed down?

Sutherland as many have said should go too for poor governance.

HE said because he saw the Bancroft and Smith press conferences

Expected that sort of reasoning but it doesn't stand up. If true then it shows he doesn't have a feel for his players. Especially shocking as one of the players is his Captain.

Geeves nailed it.

Sutherland is actually the most culpable and guilty of everyone - Warner included.

Has. To. Go.
