Evidently Bancroft is going to appeal, not his guilt but the severity of the penalty.

I suspect Warner will do the same but there is speculation that he has been advised that to say too much will jeopardise his future contract .....with 60 minutes for a tell all interview

What a prick. He's lost mates already by the look of it.

Just heard part of his presser. Sounded sincere when he read from a prepared speech. Then said he would answer questions. The first question asked, he evaded. When the reporter asked again, a minder said he answered. The reporter said he hadn't and attempted to ask again then was told only one question per reporter (paraphrasing here).
Crocodile tears.

If any of these 3 appeal the severity of there suspensions they are as weak as it comes and I hope they never play cricket again for Australia in any form.

They cheated , they all cried there sorry, now let’s wait an see the characters of these blokes.

Just noticed this:

They are entitled to appeal and I don’t blame them in appealing (if they do)

I reckon an impartial panel would deem the suspension “manifestly punitive” based on precedence.

And I know no one actually cares about the actual game but Saffies all out 488, Australia 1/18 in reply.

No doubt they have the right to appeal, I’d just rather see a bit of character about them an cop there punishment on the chin. If they are as sorry about what they have done as they say, then 9 an 12 month suspension should sit fairly with them.

I’m glad CA took a strongish stance on this, set the standards for world cricket, unlike all these weak corrupt cricketing nations.

I'm of this mind as well.

16 for Smarsh giving him an average of 20 , I think, for this test series.

What are people's thoughts on Warners press conference?

I thought it was /looked/spoke insecure.

Maybe Im judging him harshly as I dislike him, feel he was the instigater in all this and his personality.

Think he will never play for Australia again.

Thoughts?

He doesnt need to he will just be a mercenary on the 20/20 circuit like Chris Gayle

Straya 7/201 still 287 behind. A very nasty defeat coming.

No surprise . Two best bats and best bowler out too. Plus one foot soldier. Not a stretch to say how would we go with Dusty, Rance, Jack out (and Towner)

Anyone read about the SA fans wearing Canice t shirts and Sonny Boy Williams masks? Seems like a very well orchestrated get under Warners skin campaign by fans.

Strange decision by SA to bat again after scuttling Australia for 221 and leading by 260odd to bat again.

They could’ve put us back in ripped through us for another 200 odd score and be done by end of today’s play.

Try taking three more out - footy teams are twice the size as a cricket team.
