No more ODI and international T20 on free-to-air.

Nice one Cricket Australia!

The same with AFL which trades away approx 1/2 a match a round each time they sit down to negotiate so over time the fta coverage of AFL slowly declines - and they think we don't notice

The one good thing I noticed about the series in South Africa was the refreshingly intelligent commentary.
How great will it be watching Test Cricket in Australia without having to listen to the likes of Healy, Slater, Chappell and Pietersen.

What if they use Basil, BT and Bruce?

And they are certain to use James Brayshaw.

Who were their commentators?

Dare say the likes of M Waugh, Flemmo, Gilly, Punter etc from the BBL might be lured over.
Dunno, it’s apparently not cool to be white or male when commentating on cricket.....

I read that in 2005 Ashes series in England the peak audience was 7.4m on FTA tv.

In 2009 when it was on pay tv it was 2m.

Sutherland might get his bonus now, but mark leysy's words, this will be the point in time that crickets appeal spirals to the Australian public.

Will be a niche sport struggling to get played in schools within 7 years.

Do not underestimate the impact non FTA for ODI and T20 for the national team will have.

Can't remember them all, but some of them were:-
Mark Nicholas, Allan Border, Brendon Julian, Shane Warne, Michael Holding, Kepler Wessels, Michael Haysman, Shaun Pollock, Graeme Smith, Robin Petersen.
I think Wessels is a bit of a d!ck but the rest were OK.

Good read about the cricket rights here.

CA not looking too flash and seems little has been learnt about placing mainstream sports behind paywalls.
