Cricket

Ireland have been given a gift here.
139 ahead at the start of the last day with three wickets in hand.
O'Brien went first ball and they've been knocked over setting Pakistan 160 for victory.
They would never have declared that early but now they have Pakistan 3/14 in the chase!

There may have been batsmen as good as him, but I don't think any were better during my lifetime.

He was/is a freak.

Poms are 1/25 against Pakistan at Lords, the ball is moving about, Pakistan having a bit of trouble controlling. Get their line right they might be able to go through them.

Pakistan 0/12 and another 52 runs to win the first test at Lords. The Poms don't seem to go too well at Lords, Aust have got a pretty good recent record there.

Smacked them in the end. Abbas looks a decent bowler.

Yes, i think Hasan Ali after looking good in ODI's and T20's is going to be a good test bowler too. It's a shame they don't play a lot of test's, hopefully they start playing some more.

James Sutherland resigns. About time.

Yep. He says the ball tampering scandal had nothing to do with this decision.... (yeah right)....I hope he joins the Bummers as next CEO or something. Who'd want to take over his job now.

He was interviewed on SEN today & indicated he'd be more than happy to go earlier if a replacement was found sooner.

Sounds like a highly inflated ego to me - he has quit (or more likely pushed) - give em 3 months then move on. Why wait 12 months.

I reckon under his watch, the culture and performance of Australian cricket has declined

Word is he was apparently pushed by Peever. The only issue is Peever needs to go as well. He's not a cricket man at all.
