So with each passing year the domestic one dayers get more and more buried by CA.

So they once were on ch9 AFTER the footy season (even in to January).

Then slowly shunted to GEM then Foxtel and now the season starts on September 16 and you can only view it on the CA website.

Why do they even bother scheduling them if they don’t want anyone to watch them?

Good questions tim. Why play the test matches / ODIs at the empty G anyway? This level of cricket is something I miss on TV.

Channel nine aren't broadcasting the cricket anymore, it didn't take them long to put the boots in.

A disgraceful headline on Channel nine news saying that "Kim Hughes has sensationally called for safety helmets to be banned from junior cricket."

That wasn't what he said at all.

It's just gutter, sensationalist journalism that the Australian public have to put up with.

Moeen Ali doesn’t like the Australian cricket team:

“The first game I ever played against them, in Sydney, just before the 2015 World Cup, they were not just going hard at you, they were almost abusing you.

“That was the first time it hit me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but the more I played against them they were just as bad, the Ashes here [in 2015] they were worse actually.

Not intimidating, just rude. Individually they are fine and the Aussies we’ve had at Worcester have been fantastic, lovely guys.”

::), ok so they didn’t abuse you and they weren’t intimidating.....they were just “going hard”. Ok.....

Ali said that someone called him ‘osama’. He complained and (in my view) the response was pathetic. The article I read listed the team at that time and one name stood out as the most likely candidate. I’m sick of Australian cricketers being pricks and shrugging it off with lines like ‘ ... said on the field stays on the field.’. No wonder we are hated around the cricketing world.

Yep not sure Langer is the one to fix that though.

We tried an outsider (Mickey Arthur) but the egos struggled with his style. I don't reckon any past Australian player from the past 30 years should be coaching if CA wants to change the culture. I like the way NZ goes about it, even the SAffies.

I agree that Langer will not improve our culture

Australian cricket is a shambles. The fish rots at the head. Sutherland, the rugby fraud, Langer the gnome. All about the $, and playing favourites.

With Smith and Warner out, Maxwell is the most talented batsman in the country. It's not even close. It's a disgrace the way he's been treated. Finch, Labuschagne and Head!? Give me a *smile* break.

Labuschagne. How the *smile* does this bloke get picked ahead of Maxi?? Is it because he averages 34 in first class cricket? Thirty-four. Is it because he did so well on the Australia A tour of India?! He made A PAIR in the second match. That's two ducks in one match, Trevor Hohns! 97 runs in four innings, across two games. Screams 'pick me'.

Oh, wait. Where is Labuschagne from? Where is Hohns from?

*smile* these guys.

Travis Head. They are deluded about this bloke. Agricultural slogger. First-class average of 36. That's not even an average average. That's a wicket-keeper's average. But he made a couple of 50s on roads against India A, I guess that outweighs Maxwell making a Test century on a bunsen burner against the best spin attack in world cricket.

And Finch. We only have a decade of evidence that any sideways movement is kryptonite for him.

The incompetence is mind-boggling.

It’s killing my love for the aust cricket team. He doesn’t strike me as some sort of destabiliser in the dressing room, he seems the opposite, someone whose talent inspires others.

I don’t think langer will be a cerebral coach.

Brett Geeves not happy about CA decision to appoint Mitch Marsh as VC. He said the decision “stinks to high heaven”.

It’s funny how MM gets kissed on the old fella by CA but Maxwell seems to be judged on a different set of rules.

Remember, Maxwell has to score tons to justify his selection....

MM has scored 2 test tons in his 28 tests, 1 ODI ton in 53 and 8 in 86 first class games, 3 List A and 0 T20.

Maxwell 1 in 7 tests, 1 in 84 ODI and 7 in 59 first class games, 4 List A tons and 2 T20 tons.

in fairness Marsh is an all-rounder. as shown by his test bowling average of 42. (76 since the start of 2017).

D'Arcy Short made 257 in JLT game today.
Should get him in the test side on current selection criteria.
Yeah, just watched the highlights. On a small ground but an insane knock.

Yep, 33 test wickets from 2341 balls (a wicket ever 71 balls) at an average of 42.

GM 8 test wickets from 462 balls (a wicket every 57 balls) at an average 42.

Qld chasing WA 327 went from 2/238 to all out 271 losing 8/33 in the process.

If they are looking for a young top order Bat from Queensland his names Sammy Heazlett.

He should be brought in and left in before he does a Maddinson and is ruined by playing big bash hit and giggle

So Cricket Australia have filled the vacant CEO role with someone from within CA............ Kevin Roberts. Roberts has had different roles with Cricket Australia, including the last three years where he's had an executive role with responsibilities for strategy, people and culture.

It would be a stretch to say that he has improved the culture and behaviour of Australian test cricketers.
