Funniest dismissal ever. Talk about paying no attention.

Can I say that was very bazharre..... :hihi

Bit unfair I must admit. What was the umpire doing? He could've warned the batsmen.

No way. Not the umpires job to tell him to run, stop or stay in his crease. Probably watching the ball himself and would not have signalled 4. All up to the batsman, same as with Labuschagne's weird dismissal.

Yeah true. Just thought he would've called 'dead ball'. Must've been too much of that Abu Dhabi heat in their brain. ;D

Why would he call dead ball? It wasn't dead.

Dunno spook. Given the circumstances...benefit of the doubt...blah..blah. The batsmen saw the ball stop thinking it was 4. Ump didn't call it. Crazy stuff.

It's only crazy on behalf of the batsmen. 100% their fault. You might as well say a batsman should get the benefit of the doubt if they leave one that bowls them, because they thought it was going over.

No Leon they're being "managed" so that they don't get injured.

Yep & it's working a treat for Cummins, Starc, Pattinson, Hazlewood etc. etc. etc.

And the person behind the 'high performance management' gets promoted.

Batsmen have plenty in their favour these days, it's not asking much for them to watch the ball while they're running or look to the umpire for confirmation of a boundary. There's an etiquette to cricket but it doesn't cover this.

serious, 100% batsmens fault.

Cant believe anyone is questioning it TBH

Marsh brothers made 44 runs between them, in a combined 8 inning in the series.
Walk up starts for the home series this summer?

Could believe what i was hearing when Langer said "that you've got to be a good bloke and you've got to score runs." if you want to get selected.

That's interesting, it doesn't matter how many runs you get, if you're an *smile* you want get picked. The Marsh brothers must be really, really good blokes.

And just before that he was saying that the most important thing was runs, he then must have been asked about the Marshes and their lack of runs.

So, Shaun Marsh HAS to play the one dayers because he’s scored 2 tons out of his last 5 one day knocks. The narrative just changes to justify the selection of the players they want/don’t want.

If the player they DIDNT want had just scored the pathetic tally Marsh has the narrative would be “look, he’s out of form at the moment and we don’t think the one day field is the best place to be trying to find form in....”
