It will kill interest for a lot of people in the game.

I for one am no longer engaged with Cricket.
What is most outrageous and corrupt is clearly Sutherland and co were heavily incentivised to maximise the tv dollar for their own gain, to the detriment of the National game. They are all happy to walk away now with their millions.

There ought to be a investigation by government because it is clearly corrupt.

It always amazes me that executives get paid bonuses for negotiating TV deals when they are already paid a handsome salary to do that anyway.

Fully agree with this.
Reckon they were given targets and most likely met every single one of them ... and look how it's turned out.

Disagree. I agree with his comparison with switch hitting.

Nonsense; umpire got it totally correct. This is just silly, turning the game into a joke. The proper comparison would be a bowler coming in and bowling with his 'other' arm i.e switching from say RAO to LAO. I think this is also currently disallowed but I would consider this an appropriate rule change idea/proposal that would enable bowlers to vary their tactics and approach as do switch-hitters.

Think it would gather support, but few bowlers would ever be ambidextrous enough to implement effectively. This was as someone said, like 'ballroom dancing.'

It is a bit of a myth about bats dominating - depends on who's playing, match format, where and match conditions. Certainly not common for recent Australian performances, anywhere!

Saffa's bowling first in ODI, could be over before tea break, may want to finish early, to catch a flight out.
Head was plumb lbw so he looks to Finch as to whether to go to DRS and Finch gives him the nod.

Seems Finch might be too struck from him not going to the DRS in game 1 so to be seen to be doing the “right” thing and going to the DRS.

Well done Aussies on beating South Africa. Who’d have thought 9 months ago winning a meaningless ODI would be a surprise.

No worse than a bowler concealing the ball or running in behind the umpire. Perfectly legal in my eyes, and agree the switch hitting is a good comparison.

deliberately distracting the batsman is against the laws, and should be called a dead ball, hiding the ball is done for a very different purpose, running behind the umpire might sit in a grey area. if he spins every delivery then it would be ok, but he doesnt (according to reports).

He's Indian. No need to worry ourselves. The BCCI will decide if it's legal in or not.

Was talking to a mate at Cricket Victoria when I was in Australia in August and he was saying they were very dissaponed with the deal . Ch 10 had a much better deal for the growth of cricket as a game . Also he was shocked that Foxtel had excisvie international ODIs and T20 coverage . He understood that Foxtel would want some exclusive coverage. It was either ODI internationals or T20s and the other short form was shown Free to Air. CA suugested that international T20s would be shown on Ch7 . It was the deal that CA was talking suggesting would happen of course they ended up giving Foxtel both ODis and T20s .. too much !
