Cricket

Cummins comes on and takes a wicket with his 3rd ball. India have tried to be too aggressive, Australia have knocked the cockiness out of them.

Really poor shot selection from all the Indian batters, they are getting themselves out.

Give some credit to the bowling please.

Commentary is as cheap and amateur as in any other sport this country hosts. Sounds like Big Bash again....

On the whole I like the freshness of the broadcasting, but it doesn't matter how many Tests you played, if you are going to go on national TV and cover Test Cricket, you can be taught not to say "would have went".

Hmmm Australia are really *smile* at Cricket ,and are loved by every one !

Give me the good old days , political C has come to the game and its *smile*..

agree. today was really missing some threats to break some arms and some racial abuse....

How good Pat Cummins, eh Leysy? He's bowled 4 balls to Kohli in Tests and has got him twice. Broke the Ashwin-Pujara partnership with a ripper nut with an old pill. And then the brilliant run-out at the end of a long, hot, day. He'll probably make some valuable runs too.

As soon as Jimmy Patto is fit, we have our all-rounder(s). Paine at 6, Patto 7, Cummins 8, Starc 9. Five gun bowlers.

Paine not really good enough to bat 6, although we may never be chasing much with that bowling line up so probably moot!

That run-out was phenomonal. He is some athlete. Reckon he'd go alright on the wing at the G.

Didn’t hear who it was on the radio but was advocating for Handscomb to bat 6 and wicketkeep AND captain. Then have an all rounder at 7 then the 4 bowlers.

Plenty of worse players have. You can get away with it with a strong 7-8-9, see Richie Benaud's teams that had Slasher Mackay (average 33) at 6, with Alan Davidson, Benaud and Wally Grout behind him. Flintoff batted at 6 for most of his Test career and averaged 31. It's a trade-off, as you say you'll bowl teams out for lower scores.

Yeah Cummins is a star now.

Leysy was harsh on him early, when we was a straight up and down bowler.

Has really honed his craft to the point he can now move it both ways consistently, at pace.

On this Test, would still rather be in India's position. Not confident on us getting 300 and we still have to bat last.
