Yeah Cummins is a star now.

Leysy was harsh on him early, when we was a straight up and down bowler.

Has really honed his craft to the point he can now move it both ways consistently, at pace.

On this Test, would still rather be in India's position. Not confident on us getting 300 and we still have to bat last.

While our batting is shaky, I’d be disappointed if we don’t get 400. Unfortunately, that means Marsh needs a big one, so hopefully they give him plenty to leave

We will get at least 350. India won't get past 250 in the 2nd dig. Their batting is as fragile as Australia's (if not more so) other than Kohli.

So you were wrong. Amazing.

Marsh out for 2 :rofl

from Jon Pierik: "Shaun Marsh has 163 runs at 12.5 in his past 13 Test innings since his 156 in Sydney. Hasn't reached double figures in his past six innings and only twice in his past 10. Surely under the pump?"

Averages 20 in 12 tests V. India.

Lucky Shaun's one day form is taken into account in his selection.

Test team is really sad to watch batting.
No one is test batting standard.
Keeper at seven is the nearest.
We only had two a year ago and now have none.
India will win this game comfortably.
S Marsh is just so disappointing.Has all the shots but super vulnerable outside off and never looks confident at the crease.

Handscomb will never succeed at test level with that technique. Bowlers of test quality just lick their lips as he turns half-volleys into attacking balls. Tie him up and before long he will give you slips practice.

With the continuing selection of players like him and Shaun Marsh you have to wonder if the Shield comp is actually world-class any more. Short-form is killing off the development of players with sound, strong, diverse batting skills (defensive and offensive).

We're making Sharma look good and they're giving the Aussies send-offs including the captain. At home. It's making me cringe.

Good to see Travis has been given his head, the situation probably requires it. He and Handscomb let themselves be tied down by the Indian bowlers who, credit to them have bowled well.

FFS they’ve bowled too short. This pitch is a cracker and we’ve bowled way too short the 2nd dig. Reckon that’s only the 3rd or 4th time Lyon has got it up into the rough. He should have rolled through them.

Maxwell was looking good on 57 against Wa and got run out, 3/181 Maddison 96 not out.
Did you see it? Bowler dropped a return catch off Maddinson and it ricocheted onto the stumps. Don't have to be dead to be stiff.

The ludicrous overreaction by the idiots at CA to ban Smith and Warner for a year is starting to bite, and will only hurt more as the summer goes on. The batting is not good enough, and it also means they have to keep Paine in the side when Carey is ready. Paine is a good man, a good keeper and a steady hand, but a tactically poor captain, and as good as he looks with the willow, and as much as Leysy protests, he just doesn't make enough runs and never has.

Haven’t watched much of the Test, however though this is a very good bowling unit and it’s unfair to compare with the McGrath, Warne, Gillespie unit , over recent years we seem to bowl a lot of poor no need to play at deliveries , I think we seem to bowl just as many very good deliveries as the great bowling units however we bowl so many mature more *smile* balls imho
