I think there is alot going wrong with Australian cricket at present.

Fundamentally, the ACB does not have a clear and logical strategy to deal with the demands of Test, 1-Day & T20 cricket.

IMHO it goes deeper than just dealing with the 3 forms, its clear James Sutherland, and probably others in the hierarchy, are simply not not strategic thinkers and have no vision at all for the game in Australia or the will to drive needed changes through. They are nothing but mid level managers.

and Clarke had a good laugh about it too

Didn't see that, *smile* me, he should be hurt by such displays.

I think we will win this Ashes series myself. Sure, we need to ensure that a series win doesn't just paper over the cracks in our current team and our selectors might need a serious overhaul, but come on, lets be a little positive.

If we lose the Ashes I actually would be more positive because it would almost certainly have to prompt them to do more than they have so far. At this stage IMHO a win would clearly paper over the huge gaping cracks in the game, therefore I hope we lose.

That is crazy talk Ian IMO.

Poms look to be struggling against WA, who are probably the worst shield side going around.

It will be a tight series I reckon between two pretty ordinary sides, both with brittle batting line ups and bowlers who lack consistency (apart from Swann).

I still think the Aussies will win, but only just.

l think the Poms are a huge chance if selectors don't make tough decisions.
