Streak said:I still think we will win the series, but the one thing that has to improve is our catching. We will not get 20 wickets in a match if we drop one or two each innings, because the English will not give that many chances.
Our fielding standards have dropped considerably in recent years also.Navy Days said:Excellent point on the catching Streak.
On a wicket that has really flattened out you need to take your chances.
As Navy types Clarke just dropped a sitter. Think we've put down 4 this innings.
SCOOP said:Scooper has fallen back in love with cricket over the last four days and I have barely watched a ball.
I always try and pinch 4 or 5 days late November down at Sorrento to fire yourself up for the Christmas rush. Took a few books down (Richo and Cuzzy books are must reads burnt through them in a couple of days, superb) and just put the radio on ABC cricket. Get on the balcony on the day bed, read and have the cricket on overlooking the water or watching the rain come in. Just recharge before the rush. Besides Warne there is no one I want to hear on nine, tried watching a session but it was a nightmare, ads, product placement and Two and Half men reminders. Just rubbish.
Would rather listen to Kerry O' Keefe and Jonathon Agnew rabbit on about what Indian place they are going to have dinner at. ;D The cricket talk is also so much better. Maybe cause it is was background noise, maybe because I was relaxing by the bay but I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed the cricket so much.

really is excellent listening isn't it.
Agnew is a ripping commentator.
SCOOP said:Yeah it just makes it so much more enjoyable.
The stories Agnew told about meeting Maggie Thatcher & The Duke of Edinburgh were gold.
CH 9 have just lost me. The cricket is just one big ad.
Michael said:Only problem with the ABC is Glen Mitchell
Navy Days said:He's definately the poor relation in their box isnt he.

Sure, our attack isn't what it used to be. But gee, the pitch is like concrete, and both batsmen are well and truely set.
They are clearly trying to make a statement, but to me it is interesting that they don't appear to be trying to set us an achievable target to try and get the win by knocking us over. They will not have the time now. Still not totally confident in their own abilities?

Good question 1/509.What a woeful bowling & fielding performance.Cook could get 300.Punxsutawney Phil said:Anyone know what is the highest score in a test match when the 2nd wicket has fallen?
Surely this would have to be close?
