Kattich out for the rest of the summer

Good too old, another that needs to be looked at for replacement, the whole *smile* side is too old.

Paine, Kawahja, Mitch Marsh, MacDonald, Fergusson, Bailey, Blizzard, Starc, Smith, Birt, Hazelwood, theres options out there use them

Kwahaja , M Marsh , Ferguson , S Smith , Hughes , O’Keefe . Young pace bowling stocks thin due to injury , Aizlewood , Starc , Pattinson all long term injuries so perhaps George , Copeland & a couple of the Tassie quicks , who’ve taken stacks of Shield wickets lately , else may be forced consider older guys like Swan , Cameron , Christian , McDonald along with Hilfenaus & Johnson . Would only take Harris & Siddle (of the bowlers) to Perth.

Marsh is out injured for a while isn't he? He's a definite once fit.

Steve Smith is one I'd like to see given a go. We seem to be crucifying our spinners but he is one who has all-rounder ability, attitude and a fighting spirit. Nothing wrong with having a leg-spinner in the Test team.

NORTH must go ............................. simple.

Thing is Hughes will come in in Perth go out to a short ball as many do in Perth and get his papers stamped to never play again..................................

The unfortunate thing is Marsh, Paine, Starc, McDonald & Hazelwood are all injured.

Bailey struggling for runs this year & Birt cant make the tassie shield team.

Fast bowling in particular there are a lot of spots open, but our best young quicks are all out.

Thanks naisy ................ dire straits at the minute it seems.

Just throwing up names of blokes i know have done well.

Interesting re Birt and Bailey too whats happened there.

The tassie boys are Faulkner & Butterworth who have been in excellent form.

Faulkner is only 20 & has an excellent record as an allrounder averaging something like 25 with the bat & 20 with the ball in his career in the shield. But not ready for test cricket though.

If the pitch will seam Butterworth could though. Gets very good movement. With him batting at No 8 it would really stiffen the lower order as well.

Cameron is one that could be promoted if he performs in the current shield match.

Birt has stuggled in the shield for a while. An absolute gun at oneday & 20/20 though. Thats his bread & butter.

Bailey will come good. Too good not to work through his start to the year.

Why on earth Hilfenhaus was dropped is beyond me. Our most ecomonical bowler and genuinely bowled without luck. Must come straight back into the side.

Surely North, Doherty, Bollinger along with Katich will be left out. Theres 4 places to be filled. I bet two of those are filled by Hauritz and Johnson. The real problem we have is with the selectors first, they just arent doing their job.

Tony Greig says we should make 2 phone calls - one to Brett Lee and one to Brad Hodge.

That it's not a totally stupid idea says how low we have sunk.
