behind haddin?

he needs to be in the team as a bowler or as a batsman. not a bit of both. thats how north got his spot
North was supposed to be both, as was White, but they turned out to be neither. Haddin is okay at six if 1-5 do what they should.

:hihi Somehow I think Beefy would win

I'd like to see that. No fan of Botham but absolutely can't stand Ian Chappell.
Arrogant, self important, grumpy ol' tosser.

That sounds like exactly how both incidents started from this report. Can you imagine Botham as a young fella having the balls to snot one of the higest profile sportsman in Australia at the time! Would have been priceless!

Brett Lee & Brad Hodge will ensure we keep losing

Not saying either of those 2 are a must, just select on fomr regardless of age. But if they both played sheild cricket again & earned a spot then give it to 'em, dont just give it to a mid 20's might be something just cause he's in his 20's.

Except he didn't really hit him, former Victorian player Brendan McArdle was on SEN this morning telling the story of what happened in 1977. Chappell wound Botham up and Botham simply pushed him off his chair.

That seems to be part of the basis of the feud. Botham has gone on record before saying he hit Chappell, Chappell says he is a liar and all he did was push him when he wasn;t looking.

BTW, I can't stand Ian Chappel. Know it all.

Many years ago now I tagged along as a young fella with Bushy McArdle after a Boxing Day's play with the promise of having dinner with the Waugh twins (Steve had just made 100 that day). But Dean Waugh, who had stood with his back to play most of the day ("seen it" was his response when I told him he was missing his brother's ton) heard Bushy say Botham was at the Hyatt and insisted we go there instead. Hours later, after sitting at the bar conversing with the big man (huge forearms), he leaves with a Scottish woman whose husband has disappeared. I reckon she got the nod. ;)

Bushy knows everyone and everything in cricket. Was still making Premier Cricket runs at the age of 47. Blokes like him are the glue. Champion.

Great story spook.
I remember the stuff that did the rounds about Gower, if half of it was true he's an absolute ripper

"I hate you today as much as I did 30 years ago".

Epic feud.

They are the Ray and Dave Davies of the Cricket world.
