Weve lost 2-32 this morning. We'll be lucky to make 250. Will the game finish on the fourth day or will we hang on to get beaten on the fifth?

We'll be lucky to make 200.

There is still a bit of life in this pitch. If the skies stay overcast the ball will move & the pitch wont dry out. If thats the case batting wont be easy for England.

If Aus bowl well they will get some chances behind the wicket. Especially is they can remove one of the openers as they will be the hardest nuts to crack.

True Navy, they will find it difficult but they will show some spine and heart and grind out 400.

Such a dissapointing scorecard after the top three showed a bit of ticker. A shield team would do better.

Overnight the draw on betfair was $2.60ish. Unbelievable laying value there.

Smith may be promising but it really is amazing that he is considered our best number 6 in the country.

Saying that 200 odd is definately below par.

He's now a no. 7.

Apropos of this I heard Kerry O'Keefe talking about him before the test started. He reckons that before the Melbourne test the selectors thought Smith was a better batsman and bowler then he actually is, which says a lot for their (lack of) competence.

Why Hussey - he is leading the batting for Australia this series?

IMHO Hussey had a purple patch and is now over it, getting out to Collingwood FFS! I can't see him repeating the form of earlier tests this year.

Geeze, maybe Johnson should open. He seems like our most competent batsman.
