Tendulkar, Dravid and Kallis are in their 30s.

I'm happy to refresh the team, but let's begin where the pain is - Ponting, Clarke, Smith (not the answer), Hilfy, Johnson.... I don't reckon Haddin has missed one in the past 3 tests and has kept and batted better than Prior (Prior missed a sitter in Melbourne).

India and SA are teams in their prime not like us. However I do agree that keeper isn't as much of a priority as other positions especially with Matthew Wade maybe coming into the frame as replacement a couple of years down the track.

Hilfenhaus might as well be shouting 'hot pies' as he runs in at the moment.

Definitely been a major disappointment and extremely lucky Harris was out injured this test. So much for being the "swing king".

Wicket has definitely flattened out.

I assume your tongue is in your cheek. We lose 6/140 on this track - including a 75 run 9th wicket partnership.

I don't think its the wicket; it may be the pies we are chucking at Strauss and Cook

Agree all bowlers have bowled too short.

There is enough in the pitch if they bowl well.

Just seems no plan, no team bowling plan for a set batsmen.

Everyone just throwing down what they like.

Lucky he wasn't dropped for Bollinger. A decision that looks more and more ridiculous.

Indeed. the chasm between these 2 teams is wider than ( insert something wide here)

Yep, and Cooley. Whatever they do at training, it certainly doesn't involve bowling.

Cooley: a classic case of over-hype. If he was the saviour of the Poms bowling in '05 how come he can't teach Hilfy etc to swing/reverse swing it, Mitch to put it on the spot etc etc?

Does this mean the we'll target Saker now that he's the Poms bowling "guru"?

Hope not, no offence to Saker but just like Richmond employing Hardwick we need to conduct a rigorous process to find someone, and for the head coaching role as well, Neilsen's position is untenable now.
