Ok Sorry ;D

Speaking of which, its about time Tim & navy stopped the love in.

The PRE grudge match is on tonight in the T20. Vic V Tas at Bellerive.

We all know 20/20's can turn out strange, but Tasmania should have too much talent for the poor Vics. We'll snaffle the $1.95.

I actually don't think England did anything illegal. It should be possible for our bowlers to swing it as much as England did but we weren't trying to maximise our chance of getting it to swing.
When we poached Troy Cooley wasn't he going to teach our bowlers to bowl reverse swing?

No White, Hussey, McKay or Pattinson for the vics and Paine unavailable for the good guys. Look out for Cossie and Berto (who has been named as keeper) to make hay today. Will be a good game.

Saw Cossie the other night trying to run 2,made a meal of that

The one day sqaud is a shambles.

Still rolling out dads army. One day bowling is the one area we could go young. Shocking stuff.

With Johnson, Lee, Taite, Siddle and Bollinger to share the quick duties I think we will struggle. We will need an attack than can be able to outsmart batsmen instead of blasting them out that they have obviously plumped for. Would prefer Nannes, Rimmington, Starc, Copeland. The other guys are just so one paced. Has any of them got a decent slower ball?

Great call, some of these boys should be in the side.

And the batting. ::) What does Dan Christian have to do to get a game. Better one day player then Steve Smith.

Apart from Johnson who usually doesn't even know himself where there going, they all seem predictable. Keys will be Tait and Lee, and whether Mitchell can keep them on the pitch.

I'm a massive fan of Christian and believe he should have gotten a guernsey, but I also recognise that Smith is also a pretty handy one-day player as well. Swap Smith for Christian and we might start looking a bit slow in the field if we already don't.

Don't mind the batting. Fair bit of experience, Lots of power. Watson, Haddin, Clarke, White, Hussey, Hussey, Smith. I don't mind that.

It will be interesting out of that lineup the batsman Punter will replace, if any?

Wow, what a performance by the Tigers. Nine wicket victory with three and a half overs to spare. The vics were totally outplayed from the opening over of the match with only their imports offering any resistance.

$1.95, money for jam Navy.

Navy has no issue playing dads army in one day games at the moment with a World Cup 2 months away. Its not the time for a rebuild.

The question is, are they the best. The bowling does look a risk with a lot of out & out pacemen named. Typically in the sub-continent taking the pace off the ball helps win games. No issue with Brett Lee, has been very good this year at domestic one day level. The others all have question marks. Tait's only bowled 8 rusty overs in two 20/20 games this season whilst Siddle has always struggled in one-day games at any level. Nannes is one navy would have included ahead of both those.

The spin selection is interesting. Doherty has been the best bowler of any desciption on the limited overs domestic scene for years & fully deserves his chance. Hopes would be another that would be handy over there but he seems on the outer.

Christian also would definately get a game ahead of Smith in navy's team as well. He could be a game breaker coming in at No 7 on those small grounds.

Agree on Nannes & Rimmington makes a case Snapper. Starc has been injured all summer & Copeland is a poor one-day bowler. Averages 92 & goes for over 6 an over in the games he has actually played this year.

Too much class. Again.

Can certainly rely on Tassie to roll the hapless Vics of late to keep the money rolling into the kitty. Speaking of which navy & the followers are now ahead on the punt for the big bash.

Massive chance of winning more trophies this season are the extremely well-run Tasmanian boys.

when has siddle struggled?
he has played about 5 one-day games for the vics in the last 3 years for reasonable results. his record for aust is again reasonable, and consistent.

Reasonable is probably an accurate description
