I laughed when I read Darren Berry's article about how well that move was going for WA, reckons Hoggy had a bit to do with him getting a gig there. Laughable not giving youth a go.

not referring to lewis in particular, but with the money on offer in 20/20, you can understand the states trying to put the best possible team on the field rather than promoting youth.

Agree you can understand.

But surely when you push up a 36 year old not even playing district cricket ahead of everyone else in your state it cant be the right process.

Felt sorry for him trying to bowl to Bailey & Cosgrove who were playing him with a broom handle last night.

Aust 2/85 in the 16th over, can the Pup make some runs?

he's up to 42 now. he would want to pick up his pace soon tho.
on cue he hits a 4.

aus 4/173 of 37. they would want a big last 10 overs i think.

Pup's batting for himself

disagree. altho ultimately he went out at the wrong time, he did what he needed to do, ie not go out.
as with every innings so far, early wickets are putting a lot of pressure on the middle order.

We'll agree to disagree

Weel done Aussies on winning the CB series. However, I am sure they are aware they will need to improve a hell of a lot to go far in the World Cup.

Both sides have played some average cricket. Granted, many of the better players have been missing, but still, hasn't been much great cricket played.

Been an underwhelming series I must say.

You right, well done pup you've proved all the critic's wrong.
He can't win. If he throws his wicket away chasing quick runs he's let the team down, if he plays responsibly according to the situation with the last other recognised batsman, he's selfish. One thing beyond doubt is he's led the team very well. Good onya Pup, stick it up em.

I suspect you're being sarcastic. He has had a terrible run of form, but you know what they say about form being temporary and class permanent. Too good a player not to come out of it, and as I said, has skippered very well. He's obviously an easy target but I don't understand why people are so quick to sink the boots into him. Short memories. Parts of the crowd booing him onto the field yesterday was a disgrace.
