Fully agree on both points.

Hopefully mate.

Been a horrible run for a while now on the long version. But he has the runs on the board until the past 6 months.

C'mon Navy, you're slipping. You had a great chance to remind us that Prior plays for the Victorian Bushrangers!

Run a ball from the last over. Blee several years ago would get it in one ball, does he still have it in him?

Great way to win, 4 runs to the big Victorian Johnny Hastings! Also, well batted to David Hussey and Cam White. :hihi

2 match winning innings in a row for clarke.
1 more good knock and you could say he has regained form.

It was a very good knock by Clarke. I think he has regained form he was hitting it well and he moved his feet.

Not sure if you noticed but we are chasing 330 odd.

Huh? So? You said Clarke is/should be batting at four because that is where he will bat in the world cup. And you are implying that Clarke is a liability at 4 if we are chasing big totals.

Well done to Clarke. Also I would like White to play a long innings at some point.

He's shown he can play at the level. Wouldn't be the first quality bat to have a bad trot.
Seems to be revelling as captain in the absence of Ponting and should be given the chance skipper the Test side too IMO.
Agree. Team has done very well in the one dayers without both Ponting's batting and captaincy.

Eh What you on man.

Navy didnt imply that about Clarke at all. He will be coming in during the middle overs in India just as he did here. Think you are taking navy too literally. It is also good cricket sense when you are chasing a monster score that you can deviate from pre-set strategies so as to get as many when the powerplay is on as possible. If that means "sacrificing" someone meaningless from down the order that is capable of making it easier for the batsmen to follow so they can take less risks early doors, then use there class to get the team over line at the end then navy's all for it. Thought you would be as well...

Aus have chased down over 300 twice this series with near perfectly devised batting strategies in which Clarke has played a solid role in both now. Good on him, he's probably been our best one-day batsman for over a year now.

Also see the spat between Warner & Geeves is on the hun. Pity the dont put the whole transcript up. ;D

Great run chase last night....thought we were going to blow it with those few wickets at the end.

Our bowling a big worry going into the World Cup....have conceeded 300 twice in the series, as well as 270 odd in the first ODI.

We will play against better batting lineups than England in the World Cup...our bats better be on song over there.

Well done to Michael Clarke....although I don't like him, he has batted well the past two games. Hopefully his form continues into the World Cup.

Can someone explain to me how the media works? Matt Prior performed an absolute prick of an act last night but barely a ripple in the paper ( 1 line in the Hun).

Hughes was hung drawn and quartered for querying a catch, Clarke was belittled for attending a breakfast on the morning of a test and also for Tweeting but a bloke can blatantly cheat and it goes unpunished.

Would be interesting to hear was Botham has to say about it , he basically called Hughes a cheat . Knowing Botham it will be nothing .

Noticed that kresja and Voges have been called up for the last one dayer , Clarke and Watson rested . Can understand Kresja but Voges hasn't made a run all season . No point in the Hodge discussion but surely there is a batsman in better form than Voges . What about Klinger , Christian , Finch and Bailey as examples ? Surely Tim Paine would get a bat before him .

Totally agree ST.

There are a stack of better players around the country that deserve an opportunity ahead Voges. Including all you have said. Love to see Bailey get a go, navy has no doubt he is will make an excellent international one-day batsman. Has the runs on the board to be pushed up as well.

It seems the selectors retain a list of players they keep in reserve and it never gets updated. Similar thing when Hughes was bought into the test side having not made a run in the Shield. Form means zilch by the looks of things.

I have never understood why Bailey never gets mentioned as a limited overs player even in the press , 50 over and 20/20. Very good player imho and also a good leader in Tassie.
