Geez that Hamish Bennet has one of the nuttier fast bowling actions I've seen for a while. Must be tutored by Lance Cairns.
.
The commentators went on about it a bit too much but they're right, the strain he must put on his body would be immense.

I was watching actually with the sound down - but not surprised it was talked about. The "Frog In a Blender" description has a new home.

Haven't seen it for a while but that sort of action it used to be kind of common - Max Walker the other famous one.

Bennett's action is way worse than Walker's. Its in the way he twists his body into unnatural positions. Surprising that it hasn't been picked up on by NZ medicos because he will not have long in the game.

Ha - I think Jeremy Coney was also pretty front on if memory serves.

Dont think Coney was in this category, he bowled darty offies. Cairns, Walker, Alan "Froggy"Thompson.....

Yes - mos def.

Just saying you don't see that "front on" Max Walker style much at all these days - let alone Bennett's extreme version.

And you're right Tigertim - A quick Youtube recap of Coney revealed he had a pretty traditional action - not sure who I was thinking of now. As an aside, geez Richard Hadlee was a smooth bowler.

Jeez I hope Siddle isn't Bollingers replacement, the other bloke bowling well should be. Absorbing final so far. Tassie 2 - 40 off 9 overs chasing the vics first ''innings'' score of 3 - 75. Both teams have found runs hard to come by.

Also congratulations to my Tracy Village CC team mate Matty Day on his selection in the Ryobi final squad for Tassie, unfortunately missed the final cut.

Go Tigers!

Happy birthday old boy :rofl Sweet win in the one day format to go with back to back shield wins and last seasons 20/twenty final victory. Great stuff in all 3 frmats of the game.

Great stuff Vics. even in a year where our performances have been mediocre in all forms, we still manage to come away with some silverware.

Wouldnt hold your breath if Hodge's average of 15 during Victoria's run of one-day final defeats are anything to go by.

looks like the leading scorer in one day cricket this year, and last year, played a another match winning innings, nearly doubling the score of the next highest scorer, at nearly a run a ball.

Correct Brodders - pretty impressive on a tough day for batsman - leysy navy days is rather quiet?

Navy's here Big Cat. ;D

Well done to the Vics. Well deserved win, by far the better team on the day/night to win a trophy that has been very elusive.

Tas's batting hasn't been up to scratch in the shorter forms all summer. Far too many collapses when Bailey doesnt get runs has come home to roost.

Tas still have the big one to win which is now a two horse race with NSW. Greater application with the bat is required, If so this match will be long forgotten.
