Former umpire Darrell Hair has dropped a bomb on Murali ahead of the Aus/SL clash, again calling his action into question and suggesting many others share his thoughts.

Krejza is rippping them at right angles. Murali and Mendis will destroy us. 250 will be hard to get.

In shield cricket it was an easy win for the Vics of SA but too little too late boys. I see Tassie had an emphatic win over NSW. They should be engraving the shield with "Tasmania" on now, havent seen a greater favourite to win the shield in a while.

Great game between the Poms and the Saffies. Credit to England they got out of jail with a great bowling effort.

God the poms are all over the place. Tie with india, and beat south Afrtica, the two best ODI sides in the work, then lose to Ireland and struggle against the Dutch.

Always bat first against the South Africans . They don't bat deep and panic a bit .

Amla and De Villiers are the key wickets .

just thinking, De Villiers must be the best fieldsman in world cricket atm, by a fair way too. smith and hussey would be tied for our best

Don't you just love 50-over cricket when both teams' batting crumbles, the limited over factor goes out, and it becomes a "normal" game of cricket?
Infinitely more riveting.
England v South Africa a great example, and often games involving two minnows turn out that way.

An uninjured Ponting a fair bit ahead of Smith & Hussey IMO although Smith does some great things. De Villiers is fantastic.

Harper the best all round fielder I have seen

No doubt in navy's mind Ponting without his injured finger is well ahead of Smith & Hussey.

Agree with the consensus that De Villiers is a gun though.

Good to see Hussey called up. He needs to play every game possible from here. Needs as much batting as possible. As do all our players actually with the way the schedule is.

Interesting to see who he replaces. Will be one of Dussey, Smith & White. It may well be his brother but navy hopes not. He offers too much in every facet to go. Should be between White & Smith INO.

An article here praising the selectors who on face value have done a good job with the World Cup selections. Especially the selection of Tait who is starting to look very menacing. They were roundly derided on here & in the media for picking him. It was a gutsy call that could be a stroke of genius.

Disagree Navy Boy,Hussey whined & sooked about not getting selected & the selectors bowed to him.Callum Ferguson owould be more than capable but the selectors are more interested in picking an over 35's side.

Age is irrelevant at this moment MB. What all one-day teams build for is a few weeks away from completing.

After the World Cup that will be a different kettle of fish.

Hussey is proven at the level, he slots straight back in IMO. Ponting was underdone but he is looking pretty good. Champs are champs.

Agree with Navy re who he replaces, think that White should be in the gun but reckon D Hussey will get the flick.

agree hussey straight back in.
i reckon white will get a few more games to prove his worth. only watson can equal him in regards to the damage he can do to the opposition. they will want to give him the chance to refind form.
if he cant get a score in the next few games he should be out.
i guess D. Hussey will be the unlucky player.
