Ponting did extremely well last night, give the guy his dues.

Of course he also captained the team to ANOTHER failed series/competition. Beating up on Canada and other irrelevent nations means nothing when you can't beat the recognised nations.

It's getting a bit much now, in fact has been for a while now. He has to fall on sword.

Neilson and Cox, Boon etc have to held accountable as well.

260 was very close to a par score. It was very defendable if we bowled well, which unfortunately we didnt.

Poor old Punter even when he plays out of his skin the knockers are out.

Who are you and what have you done with Navy?

Sorry 300 was not a par score. No way. Did you watch the game & see the pitch.

Of course if his strike rate was higher we would have scored more. Same for every batsman. But harsh (in fact wrong) to be giving it to the man who scored a hundred at a strike rate of 88 when in the same match you have -

Clarke 8 off 19 balls
Hussey 3 off 9
White 12 off 22.
Ponting only deserves praise for his innings last night, the other 3 mentioned deserve some stick.

They have never won a knockout game in the world cup. Considering they have been ranked either 1 or 2 at each world cup, that is incredible.

The Lankans look good, my new favourite for the cup (apart from the kiwis). Who does everyone else think will win?

Looks like Graeme Smith has stepped down as Saffies captain. http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/content/story/508174.html
