Cricket

All over. Other than Matthews and Mahela, noone else made any runs.

Ryan Harris took 5, good to see. I like him, he is always at the batsman and gets a bit of movement in the air and off the seam which is vital. Just hope his body holds up.

2011-12 summer

4 (?) tests against India and just 2 trans-Tas tests against NZ?? WTF?? I'm already bored.

Why don't we scrap this continuous re-arrangement of draws in cricket every summer and invite 5 nations to play a series of Test matches only (World Cup style).

ODIs and T20s are a waste of time and only good for booze-ups.

C'mon Cricket Australia do something..........special.

No Ponting for the 2nd test. He had returned home for the birth of his child. Should return for the 3rd test. S. Marsh to make his debut.
Dave Warner :o has been flown over, next batsman in line apparently.

Warner? God we are scraping the bottom of the barrel there.

Test Cricket is littered with father-son combinations, but the Marshes will become only the second such pair for Australia.
We have had grandfather/grandson and great-grandfather/great-grandson combinations though.

Rapt to see March get a crack. Coming in against spinners will test him but once set he can destroy them. Great talent. Ton up son.

What a *smile* joke ... Warner is a one trick dud, would rather Maddinson or Finch or Cowan or Mitch Marsh get a call up than that dud.

Paine should be over there already with the gloves on, fair dinkum how is Haddin still list clogging ... jobs for the boys.

That said Ponting shouldnt have gone if he knew his missus was due to pop a skull round then.

Only interested in holding his spot thats why he went, jobs for the boys as they say.

Lankans batting. Harris and Copeland have struck early. 3/20.

How refreshing to have two opening bowlers who bowl a good line and length and keep the batsmen honest. The wicket is apparently very good, so a few early wickets with the new ball will be like gold.

Perhaps Don Argus threw out the old Australian Play book which directed the bowlers to bowl as fast as possible and hope to god that the odd ball pitches on a good line and length.

Mitch Johnson would be standing back wondering what this is all about.
