In days gone past I was not happy until Langer and Haydos put on a 100.

Yes, the days of watching our flat track bullies destroy pop gun attacks on placid wickets are a dim memory.

Leysy's random obs -

- Not sure why anyone would think leysy wants Hughes to fail. All he has done is point out his technical flaws. All the better if proven wrong.
- South Africa have played a dumb dumb dumb game. Totally threw there wickets away on a batsmans wicket which has put them behind the game. Then proceed to have questionable tactics which include -.
- Bowling the best fast bowler in the world sparingly with the new ball.
- Bowling short & wide to Hughes, who despite leysy's criticism's murders bowling better than most when given room in this area. Just check his wagon wheel. Every single boundary to the off-side. :o & didnt come around the wicket until he had 80. Do they not have video replay's of the Ashes series.
- Watson is an opener. Full stop. Have said this for a long time but Dont think leysy has seen many techniques/mindsets more suited to the opening role compared to middle order in his days watching/playing/coaching. Leysy is fully predicting a drop off if & when he drops down the order.
- Why didnt they refer the obvious caught behind that Hughes hit. Only one thing could have made the ball jag back that far to the keepers right. :hihi Phil did well to keep a straight face when they didnt refer.

Saying that SA have got things right since lunch. As shown by completely shutting down the scoring.

Ricky, please, PLEASE give it away. All you are doing is tarnishing your reputation as one of the great cricketers. This shouldn't be how he is remembered. But I hope it is. He is just being a stubborn baby, won't admit he is past it and can't even allow himself to move down the order. He is also ageing into a grumpy old man in front of our eyes, on the field.

It's a shame he has done this to himself. He should have retired years ago. You just have to shake your head at times. What is he doing?

His inability to convert fifties to hundreds suggest otherwise. True test match openers manage to go on with it more than once out of every eight.
