Cricket

You Moron Haddin.50 runs needed and all day to get them and you play a lazy shot like that!

7 innings @ 11.9 .

Hussey's scores since the Sri Lankan series.

Doesn't make good reading. His Indian summer over there seems like a long time ago now.

And now that the old experienced heads have accelerated the collapse it will be left up to three guys in their 2nd test and one playing his 7th to guide us home.

pathetic really.

9 down now. We have seen some pretty horrific batting collapses in the past couple of years, and here we go again.

From 1/122 to 9/199. 7 for 40 since Ponting's dismissal.

Handing NZ their first test victory over Australia in Australia since 1985. Just when you think we couldn't sink any lower.

Can't see it. Was it out? Radio saying video review got it wrong.

pitched outside leg. just. as i said mms in it.

another review. this time lyon given not out lbw. kiwis review.

Test cricket is really throwing up some cracking finishes. Is it really the first teat NZ have won in Aus since 1985?

Border and Thomson, McDermott and May, Lee and Kasper, Lyon and Warner.

All fell just short of carrying the misfiring batting lineups to victory.

Great performance by Warner....put his senior partners to shame.

Indeed, put Punter, Hughes, Clarke, Hussey and Haddin to shame. But fear not! I'm sure we'll see Huss Punter and Hadds pad up for more disappointment for the 1st test v India. Because playing the youth in Cummins, Lyon, Starc, Pattinson and Warner has been such a failure ::)

great effort by warner, though he was swinging a little wildly toward the end.
great effort by lyon too. just too many runs for a 10th wicket partnership.

probably a good thing the aussies lost.
ponting, hussey, haddin should all have played their last test for Australia. hughes should be dropped for at least a lengthy stint at shield level.

Congrats NZ.

Disgraceful performance from the Aussies.

The loss we had to have maybe?!

Hopefully the selectors will see the light now. This batting order containing each of Ponting, Clarke, Hussey and Haddin is involved in collapse after collapse after collapse. And of course we add Hughes to the list.

We were 7/74 in the first innings and lost 7/40 in the second.

None of them seem capable to play a rearguard when the chips are down...its like they defer responsibility to the next man in because it is all a bit too hard out there.

It takes a second gamer and a number 11 to show them how to guts it out.

Quite pathetic.

We've been having these "losses we need to have" for a few years now but seems they don't have any impact on CA and its selectors.

Few new people on board now. Will indicate whether they have the balls to make the changes or whether it will be the same old same old.
