Crowd for Carlton game?

Personally I won't be going for 3 reasons:

1) Money goes to help prop up the corrupt and cheating CFC

2) Having to sit amongst the smug cheats for 3 hours is far from fun

3) God forbid we lose, walking out with the &%%&#'s in full cry is not my idea of the perfect start to a long weekend

unfortunately I have the feeling Blues fans will be worse than Hawks supporters and bomber fans combined. I deliberately ignored Woodsmen, as I don't hang out at Centerlink so I never see them :hihi

Watching the game at home with beers and a couple of mates will be the go for me :beer
Just what i was thinking , what help them pay for (D)jud fund and now after todays results they have the A F L sucked in as well . NO way will i give them one cent of my hard earned .

Nice guess Hopper! If you guess it right from the official crowd on the scoreboard on matchday, I will personally buy you a case of any beer that you like and send it to your place by courier!!!

and I will double the offer if you guess exactly right and Richmond win the game!

My guess is more like 74,275...................... for sure! :O)
I've saved that post! Courier costs to Darwin could be a killer though, jbpp! Might be cheaper to buy the slabs a seat on a Tiger flight. How appropriate too!

No worries Hopper!

Might be easier to come to Darwin for a Holiday and buy your beer while I am there! I stand by my statement though, no probs at all. I'm about due for a holiday and I love Darwin, went there last October and we loved it, its a charming city in a lot of ways and I would def go back for another break there........... ;O)

Hah! You're on. Everyone in for a monsoonal drink up. It's jbpp's shout!!

Whilst I don't agree with the early start.....I think they maybe felt that with a long weekend a lot of people would be knocking off work early and that some keen buggers might even squeeze in the game before heading off down the coast! ? ! ? !

Most people knock off early at the end of a normal week so it's not too much of a stretch to think they will do so before a long weekend, and how many people won't even be going to work on thursday anyway?

Just a thought!

Dunno but it wont be a shade on the awesome "walking wounded" game against the Blues at Princes Park some years ago ... that game is etched in my memory >:D

What a joke!

The game will start with about 25,000 there... and be at maximum 55,000 by half-time...

Worst move by the AFL making it a 6:10 start... Absolute Flogs!

Is this for real?

If so there goes my plans for the game and Good Friday!

No way can we get there now after waiting for the wife to finish work and picking up her little brother and sister on the way. Will take me 3 1/2hrs to get to the G and cannot leave until just after 3pm.

*smile*!!!

Do you mean the game around the time "The Geish" took over?

I'll be in the crowd.

Making my way down from Canberra for the first game of the season. The first game is always special. It's always good to get the new season underway with a win.
