Richo is the only really distinctive character I can think of who's playing at the moment. There have been plenty in the past when the rules were very different, and the game not so sterile, but most players seem like robots now, doing their job with no personality. Acker was one when he was at Brisbane but he doesn't stand out from the mob so much as a Dog.

Can anyone think of any other players who stand out as individuals, not necessarily ability wise, running around at the moment?

Depends on your criteria, there is not much going around these days with the game so heavily sanitised both image, verbally and not just physically.

I don't include players like Kerr, Didak or Cousins for being notorious but more in trouble thn "individuals"...so..I would say...on the grounds of being interesting/unique/quirky individuals...

Aker
Cooney
Minson
Hall
Kirk
N. Brown
D. Connors & J. Riewoldt have future potential
Richo
Campbell Brown & Jonathon Brown for being good ole fashioned knockabout types
Ling
Scarlett
Dayne Beams
Fev

There are even fewer old school tough guys / intimidating type personalities in the league which is not so suprising since a lot of the king hits have rightfully been taken out of the game but still, it's sad too see the paltry few left.

Big Cam Mooney can be entertaining at times.

Buddy is obviously entertaining, mostly because he's an arrogant prick.

Barry Hall is probably the biggest character in the game at the moment. A bloke that can snap at any time and punch a bloke out is reminiscent of the characters of the 70s and 80s (Mark Jackson type). While I dont condone it, it can be humerous at times.

Yeah was going to mention Mooney but he's chilled a bit of late and then there is a few more you could put in that category.

Still he might raise his profile sometime soon, I believe Cam Mooney is the first player to be wanting to go to the Gold Coast 100% if they will take him by then.

Yep. Dumb as a house brick but I think he has a decent heart and means well. Also one of the great full forwards and does things that few others do.

Sadly there aren't any characters left such is the blandness of the AFL nowadays.

Cogs - anyone who turns up to training in one shoe has a place in my heart. :hihi
