Could he still get the arse in a couple of weeks?
No. But this thread was in danger of falling off the first page. Needs to stay in the headlights.

Its all Hardwicks fault, no wait its all Bennys fault.
That's just silly Mappa. There are several other alternatives to the two you highlighted.
You stopped far too early, and haven't even considered the combined approach to laying blame.

Nothing that has transpired so far can convince me the suddenly Hardwick will become a solid tactical coach. We have shifted some magnets but the real match day issue that astute football people can see has not changed at all. In fact some would argue or predict we will will actually get worse.. Time will tell!

So balmy will make dimma a better coach? Is that what we should expect?

We will now play hard, tough football, tackle and chase and move the ball quickly and as skilfully as possible to give our forwards the best possible chance of scoring

Cant wait till round one now

With Leppitsch gone, we need Lamby to confirm if Hardwick is now the worst performing coach in the AFL.

Not quite but the momentum (if not the force) is with him

Don Pyke 23 17 6 0 73.9%
2 Chris Scott 141 102 38 1 72.3%
3 John Longmire 146 100 44 2 68.5%
4 Luke Beveridge 46 30 16 0 65.2%
5 Adam Simpson 70 45 24 1 64.3%
6 Alastair Clarkson 282 180 101 1 63.8%
7 Ross Lyon 240 147 88 5 61.3%
8 Ken Hinkley 93 51 42 0 54.8%
9 Brad Scott 157 85 72 0 54.1%
10 Nathan Buckley 114 61 53 0 53.5%
11 Paul Roos 268 137 129 2 51.1%
12 Leon Cameron 67 34 33 0 50.7%
13 John Worsfold 303 152 149 2 50.2%
14 Rodney Eade 361 181 175 5 50.1%
15 Damien Hardwick 157 74 81 2 47.1%
16 Brendon Bolton 27 12 15 0 44.4%
17 Alan Richardson 66 22 43 1 33.3%

So Clarkson is the sixth best coach in the league? No wonder he's never won a coach of the year award.

Is Dimma still our coach? For how much longer do you reckon?

So we started talking to Balme in round 22. We sacked our assistant coaches weeks ago. All before the review was done.

What was the review for?

The club told us to wait for the review. They didn't do it themselves!

#rudderless.

Correct. And we appointed a new recruiting manager to report into Blair Hartley who will stay. What review? The club didn't even rate it.

Club is a shambles. What is even worse is now that they have recruited Balme, the ferals will forgive and forget. They will bend over once again and accept it with a Thanks.

They come out and tell us that recruiting and development has been a failure yet they elevate a bloke that has been Francis Jacksons sidekick for the last 10 years and keep Blair Hartley who has delivered some great gems like Thomas, Moore, Townsend!!!

It's mind boggling FUD. But you know what? the ferals will come out in force and hail the club and say we're on the right track and say give them time and the board will go back into hibernation.

Pretty much. For all the crap that has been thrown the way of the Focus on Football group, if not for them this administration would still be in hiding giving us nothing. One appointment and suddenly 7 years of failure has just been wiped. Wait till our recruiters screw the picks up once again this draft and it will be same old same old again. Can't wait to see Peggy and Brendan when they have to sack Hardwick by Round 7 next year. Cannot understand how a club in this day and age can be run so badly both on and off the field. A club as big as the Tigers. All it takes is some bloody logic.

Half the posters on this board could volunteer to do the recruiting for the club and would increase the success rate 10 fold. :-[

Understand how it works. People keep repeating the same crap over and over and others start believing it.

Most supporters seem ready to forgive.

A 64 year old past his prime has returned.

I am not against the appointment but poor Balmey is being thrown under a bus.

He should be starting with a completely clean slate. Instead he will have potentially bitter and disgruntled staff under him.

Soft measures everywhere.

This club lacks balls.

and a small minority of our supporters prefer the absolute insanity of a scorched earth policy......

What on earth is wrong with a fresh footy department?

Clean out everyone except Rutten and Mcrae in the coaching ranks and Williams in the recruiting.

Fresh eyes, fresh plans, members back on board. Optimism.

The club is like a dude who can't bring himself to break up with his girlfriend. Living together but both are unhappy.

RFC should move the *smile* out and get its mojo back.
