? Rarely will you find a more loyal & committed bunch than tiger fans. Chuck hissy fits? 30!plus years of failure and false dawns but still turn out in droves? Spare me.

It's the fanatical defence of such a poorly performed coach that should be derided.
Exactly. He has had 7 years ffs

Baron's sucking up 'coz he's realised he's a scott, so he's put out a call for some help n support.

Fairly obvious I'm not here to win friends TM :hihi

Having said that, there are some pretty astute types around here. A good read.

All I will say Baron is at least Damian sends me an email every week explaining the game. Where's Carter when you need him?

I gave you a big bunk up last week by calling you consistent Baron. I guess my Dudley do right persona counted against me. ;D

Not sure I will recover but I will give it a good go ...

Problem might lie in the fact that we've not been a very good footy club for well over thirty years n every time the fans get over exuberant n wet there knickers over a new coach or a couple of new players, the whole club collapses in angst n retribution when their fantasies n desires aren't instantly gratified.

First time in fifty years that I've actually seen the management stand firm against all the ranting n howling n nuffers trying to challenge. They're actually working their way through the issues n problems trying to fix and improve what doesn't quite work properly rather than simply sacking the coach n keeping all the same problems in place again.
There's never been any guarantee that a club will win premierships at any given time. There wasn't when there was only twelve teams n it's massively harder now that there's eighteen clubs.

If the club is well managed n makes enough money to have access to the quality facilities n quality staff n quality players, then you're a chance to compete for finals n flags, that's all.
We've managed to get somewhere near the mark in recent years n stumbled this year, proves we're still not *smile* good enough so keep what's working and try to improve what's not working properly, ya don't just keep chucking everything in the bin 'coz you're having another tanty, all you end up with is another bin full of scrap.

In terms of my position on Dimma it is not really different to yours except for one key aspect. I would be happy to have a new coach and I think it is time to have one but my position is that we won't in the short term so I don' t waste my energy on what I believe won't happen. I suspect you believe it will happen but time will tell i guess.

I do believe however that if 2017 goes pear shaped again he won't see out the season

Where we also agree if you trawl back through historical posts is the call for an attacking style and the big shame and disappointment for me is that we actually have quite a few players far more suited to that style than the one we play.

There you go, we're aligned!

Agree with all that, except the wasting energy bit.

It is a terrible waste to enter into next season with such a lame duck coach.

So many thousands of fans being denied what they pay good money for.

It is absolutely worth railing against, even of its just a fan forum. Rosy tells us that we are definitely on the club's radar.

Anyone watch the interview with Craig McRae from the JDM night ha that is on the RFC site? Seriously impressive stuff. He speaks with honesty and seems to evoke a team first mentality. I got more out of that one interview than I have from all of Dimma's Dissection cliche forums through the year.

Absolutely agree Baron.
It actually really irks me the thought of forking out money for my membership next year with Hardwick in the chair.
I'll likely do it but it doesn't sit well at all. Plenty won't renew.
If it's purely because they don't want to waste money then that is a baffling decision because it could end up being more costly in the end.
It's not impossible but I have very little faith he can turn his ship around.

Nice knowing you Craig. Dimma does not like competition.

Really hoping Dimma gets the arse by round 6 next year and Mccrae takes over and has success.

Ok, heres a scenario .......

While Bazza's holed up in the Equador embassy publishing unusual lists, The Tigers have been inking deals with Balmey, Prestia and Fyfe. Dimma has his nuts on the chopper. He knows those players will bounce us straight back into finals. So he goes "we'll play finals next year". And we do. And we win a couple. And Benny and Peggy win a nobel peace prize.

stranger things have happened. Well not the PRE-leaks bit.

Watch Damien talking about himself.

" I was not ready to coach when I was appointed by RFC....amazed how little I knew.
I'm not a people person...look to my wife for direction in that area.."
or words to that effect.

Question: How, why and who appointed him?
Rumours now that senior players want out. Other than Prestia nobody wants in. Sponsors missing. Crowds down. Fans disgruntled. Opposition laughing.
What more needs to be said.
Instal McRae...nothing to lose..looks and sounds impressive.
Re-instate the RFC as a football club. A team playing for each other with on-field wins the prime objective.

Agree as well ST. It's just so bloody frustrating for many given the potential fallout (that we're already hearing whispers about) from keeping Damien on for another year.

Good operator is Craig.

Really hope we don't move him from his current role/position.
