Dimma ran Nank into the ground thought he’d go with 1 ruck again earlier in season and use Pickett as relief ruck
Didnt change game plan to suit Shocking change of rules
Why the *smile* would you instantly change a game system n structure that'd won you three flags in four years before anyone even understood what the new rule ramifications would be?
Also how do you suddenly rejig your systems mid year to adjust to the changed rulings when you've constantly got half a dozen players missing games through injury and are forced to push games into a bunch of kids?

Because the *smile* game is evolving under Shocking constant changes
You either keep up with the changes or drop out of the 8 We didn’t start season well before injuries hit anyway

Anyone know what that Hun article about Danielle Hardwick's all about?

Danielle Hardwick, the ex-wife of Richmond coach Damien Hardwick, is starting a new initiative to help showcase aspiring artists.
The mum of three is creating a new venture called Ms Hardwick + Co and is on a mission to be a mentor and support Indigenous education.
“I am developing a platform mshardwickco, on Instagram to start, to give exposure and promote original pieces of art by young aspiring artists, some Indigenous along with current established artists,’’ Hardwick said.

And this is news? The Hun really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Love the name, certainly utilizing her "celebrity" status. hopefully for a cause that achieves something useful.

Feel sorry for the coaches having to go through these ultra-boring pressers waiting for these duds to ask a question.

Eeep, he’s starting to talk about ‘mathematically possible’ to make the finals.
Dimma, the year is done. No one will think less of you if we down tools for the year and finish as low as possible, get a nice pick and then reload for a tilt next year.
The last thing I want is to win a few meaningless games at the end of the year by trying to push through with veterans who are clearly cooked and finish (heaven forbid) ninth.

Time for one step back to go two steps forward. Rest up the Cotchinator, Lynchman n a few others that have been struggling with injury niggles all year long n push some heavy duty miles into Raaalph, R2D2, Not Dusty, Millerlight n Cummerbund.
Get all the old n creaky a couple of extra weeks of well earned RnR before they engage in the 2022 pre season and set up our next group of youngsters with some proper game mileage to properly prepare them for transition time.
It's been a crap year all round n expectations of the threepeat are dead n buried so I'll bravely succumb to the prospect of early draft picks and a massive refresh n reset to go hard at it again next year.

Feel for Mr Damien Hardwick. S Hocking allegedly told Leppa the AFL would stop us from working the mark.

The result? We can’t set up defensively around the long ball anymore. The zone is spread between cutting off short and long options. This changes our defensive structures and robs us of numbers at the contest.

We cannot generate enough turnovers with the stand rule.

We cannot therefore spread enough with the stand rule.

Our entire offence is built around swarming a predictable point of contest. We cannot predict opposition ball movement now that players can waltz around the mark.

Dimma is hamstrung. The team has been recruited for gut running. They are also hamstrung. Our system is being bisected with short passes.

The one team that stood to benefit most from the stand rule is Geelong. How many conversations did C Scott have with the AFL? How many and when?

An outgoing AFL footy director should be made to sit out 12 months before joining a club. But this is the AFL. The boys club.

Get Mick Warner down to Punt Rd. Get him sniffing around Kardinia Park because something doesn’t smell right.

In any case, Dimma will face a tactical crossroads at the end of the season. We need a ball movement guru and I hope he gets one because our 1-wood has been taken from us.

*smile* the AFL and *smile* Geelong.
