Not many people in the caper know the true worth of players like Richardson would with his background.

He's put the plums out there early doors, but has played it perfectly thus far.

If we resign Martin now and manage to snag Adams while also retaining Conca he has scored a 9/10.

The only thing that could make it even better and a 10/10 would be if he managed to keep our first rounder while snagging Adams, which I don't believe is possible.

A lot of people on here think it is amcre. Nahas, Batch, McGuane and Helbig are all worth 1st rounders come trade week.

I can't see how the above has anything to do with Richardson, so he shouldn't be judged on such outcomes.

I thought the same thing, but if he's in Craig Cameron's old job maybe he is involved in recruiting? I don't remember how many things CC was involved in.

The Football Manager needs to be involved in ALL things related to football.

The Essendon saga should have ensured that everyone now knows that lesson.

Those who know dan within the industry understand he is a gun...he read this situation perfectly and came out with a great outcome. If he can snag an Adams or Longer then it will be a great off season.

If he signs players to their actual worth we don't end up overpaying the likes of McGoon and therefore have room in the salary cap to bring in new talent.

Don't know if he was/is any better than Craig Cameron, but we seem to have had 2 really good footy directors since 2008 and the overall results speak for themselves.

So the word is we still have a nice bit of $$$ to throw at a decent player to get him across. We weren't in TPP issues, they had set the limit based on getting a Taylor Adams for $400k.

Now that would be the icing on the cake

Well ahead of Cameron, who would have given Dusty 600 at the first meeting.

Well played Dan.

do you know what we've given him after all the stuffing around spook.

I understand people getting excited about DR for retaining two young stars - but really that should be a given. He will impress me if he can land a high quality free agent or engineer a trade for similar.
