Showing my age I know.
I've heard a lot about the opinions of all our players on this site over the last few months. The word "elite" even somehow got embroiled in a Pettifer thread (sorry to open that wound lamby!). But we were talking AFL elite - not our own.
I'm wondering who you guys think are our 5 most valuable players in order. Not in terms of potential or past deeds or trade value, but who are our 5 most important players right now in 2006.
For what it's worth, here's mine ...
1. Richo - so much rides on his output
2. Coughlan - the difference between a top midfield and a mediocre one
3. Gaspar - somehow we have to stop the opposition scoring
4. Johnson - prolific performer who we will need to endure the long season.
5. Deledio - sad that an 18yo makes it but the boy is just so classy amongst our blokes.
Honourable mentions to Browny (would have been 1 or 2 in 2005) and J.Bowden.
