Daniel Jackson threads [Merged]

Re: Daniel Jackson

Noticed the last few games he's leading with his head down searching for a free when he gets the ball in a pack situation. Good on him if he can sneak a free or two.

Looks a bit obvious though.

Re: Daniel Jackson

Was ok today, still undoes his good play with amateur brain fades. The centring kick was funny and then his handball with 4 crows around him was even funnier.
Needs to cut those parts out his game, it was ok today but against a real side it won't be funny.

Re: Daniel Jackson

As always Jacko has the odd clanger, he's never going to be one of our elite polished stars. But he's given us a bloody honest game of footy again and hauled easily his share of the workload.

Haven't copped a look at the replay yet but, not sure it's fair to bag him for the dropped mark. Wrong end of the ground for my tired old eyes but I don't think the delivery was all that flash n Jacko wound up pretty much diving to try and make the mark.

Re: Daniel Jackson

I dont mind Jacko, but I am bemused by his current trend of not taking the first option.

In the first half, there were a number of times when a skilled runner was easily the first and best option within handball distance, but Jacko tries to run a few more metres and kick it.

He has limitations and must play within them.

His second half was much better and certainly curbed Dangerfield's game while also being much better offensively himself.

Dangerfield still was dominant when Jacko went to him

I thought he got better after half time. Jackson did the same job Grigg did on dangerfield,

Re: Daniel Jackson

Dangerfield had 17 disposals in the first half, 88 supercoach points.

In the second half, he had 11 disposals, 62 supercoach points.

Jackson had 59 supercoach points in the second half.

So, Dangerfield had significantly less disposals and supercoach points in the second half. Jackson also nearly matched him with supercoach points in the second half.

To me, Jackon's effort was commendable given Dangerfield is a freak and had a fantastic confidence boosting first quarter.

Re: Daniel Jackson

I doubt the coaching staff would use SC stats in the game review.
Is 62 sc points bad in a half? it's brilliant! his first half was crazy good though.

So Danger doesn't copy his 88 in the second half so he struggled? I think the rain contributed to his lack of influence.
I thought Jacko's game on the day was alright, but saying he slowed Danger's influence on the game is ridiculous.

Using your analogy 59 points by Jacko was super good also. 3 points diference in the 2nd half, massive diference in first half

Re: Daniel Jackson

Dangerfield is a side issue IMO. Chimp or Lids should have gone to him. Each did for a bit. Jackson? Wha? He got done on the day. As did Lids for ten minutes.

Action has been a bit off for the past two weeks. We have six very important games coming up. If Action improves we make the four.

Kids, the bloke was not an AFL class footballer two or five years ago. I like duds who improve like Action Jackson. He is harsh and he runs both ways. A revelation in 2013.

Don't you love violence? No reports these days. Action hurts em. Harsh. Plays for Richmond.

As much as I hate to say it, I think Danger is a little bit too much man for our thin hipped Lids, when he tried to tackle him in the third it didn't turn out well.

Jackson may be a much lessor player than danger, but isn't going to get done in the fat-arsed-power game. DJ's contribution was to get Paddy's net game from match winning to good.

Re: Daniel Jackson

Dangerfield was a real problem until Jacko went to him in the second half and nullified his output enough to make it too big a task for the Crows to overcome us.

5 days without a Daniel Jackson post....we must be winning a few ;D

Well that proves the supposed Jacko "lovers" and supporters are only just defending him when the ferals look to make him a scapegoat.
