Danny Meyer

Sorry Meeson,

But as much as I'd like a 20yo "A grade" ruckman at the club, I think Meyer has shown enough in the last few weeks that we're better off keeping him.

Just have to hope that we pick up a top class junior ruckman in this year's draft.

i totally agree Phantom

i'd get a

CHF
Ruck rover
CHB
ruck
Center
Rover
wingman
wingman

in that order

Is this a slight admission that you were wrong Phanotm? I have been a big fan of Meyer since his debut last year. THis kid has real talent but still has a long way to go.

It's good to see that he is now making his mark on the team and showing the same form that he did back in the SA u18s in 2004. Some kids just need a bit more time relocating themselves in a new city than others, and its great to see him clicking.

Yes, it would be nice to have Meeson in yellow & black, but as they say, better a Meyer in hand than a Meeson in the bush.

Meyer steps up when playing seniors and struggles at reserve level at times, the boy is class, has pace and skill and also not lacking ticker.
He put good pressure on today at ground level in the forward line and presented and contested well.
I like him and have rated him for a while as a prospect.
Kepp playing this kid cos he is gonna kick on very nicely.

I wasnt his PRE President last year for no reason !

Thanks for handing over the baton to me this year Redford;
I have the great pleasure of announcing, Danny Meyer is in the black thus far in 2006;
Infact, well and truly in the black and......................yellow ;

Has been run down a few times. Seems at times to lack awareness of whats around him or takes a little too long to balance and settle to kick.

Otherwise looks like he has the goods

I can only remember him getting run down by McCloud and Wells. Neither are exactly slowpokes.

It was great to see Danny Boy with a smile or three on his face out there on Saturday. From all previous reports, Danny Boy seemed depressed/lazy or whatever the hell it was, but on Saturday he was like a pig in *smile*.

Danny Boy is about to drop his baby teeth and will start growing some choppers very soon, to top it off, he is showing signs of silky skills.

One thing for sure there will be one fella from Kingswood Country who will be smiling. ;D

Wasn't it great to see. He really seemed to be loving it.
Wallace might just have picked an absolute gem. seems to be thriving on the big stage.
He reminds me of Peter Daicos(yes I know he's Scumwood. But quality scum). :)

Danny is a class above the crap level of VFL footy and it shows when he plays as it is slow and he seems disinterested cos its crap footy at times. Meyer is a classy unit and obviously requires the bigger stage to get the best outta himself.

Honestly, I'm really excited by this kid. he's definately got the makings.
Two more pre seasons in the gym and he could be a superstar.

Its true Craig.... some players just dont want to be playin on dump surburban grounds.... Players like Tambling and Meyer just dont seem interested at VFL level....keep them in the ones and let them develop there...its where they belong!
That snap he kicked was a dead set ripper....he meant every bit of that and that along with his lightning handball to bowden for a goal, is what makes them first round draft picks - the boy will be a gun.
